Terrible experience.
Decided to go out for a nice supper with my wife, they had a live band playing, they were pretty good, but that's where the positives end. Our server was not just slow but also incompetent. We never were able to even order a main dish. It started off with a drink and appetizer order. Ten minutes later, our 6 dollar (each) iced teas arrived. Thirty minutes later our appetizers arrived. We ordered roasted brussel sprouts and spinach and artichoke dip. They were both luke warm.
Now I could understand if the restaurant was busy when we were there, but half the tables were empty and service was absolute garbage.
On a side note, the owner, from what I could tell, said hello and asked how things were with just about every table, other than ours.
Overall bill was about 50 dollars for garbage service and essentially cold food.
Would give zero stars if possible and definitely will not be returning.
Edit**
I just want to reply to the owner here.
The patio and inside were NOT full when we came in, the inside seating was also NOT full as I was able to see directly into the restaurant from my seat. You're Harley Quinn hairdo waitress started off not asking for drink orders like every single waiter/waitress ever, she did not introduce herself, she walked up and said what do you want to start with, so we ordered drinks and an appetizer each. She did not pick up our menus and ran off before we could order a main.
After a good while she came back with our drinks, asked us if we needed anything to our response, no. She left again. When our appetizers finally arrived she asked us again if we needed anything, I asked for the cheque. Once the warmish OVEN ROASTED appetizer was done, I had to get up and go to the bar to pay for it.
So yeah incompetent would be the correct word for her.
Also you said that you were making drinks and clearing tables, the only thing I seen you clear was the empty glasses at your friend's table, which you moved to another table for one of your waitresses to clean up after you, just so you could sit with them and drink whatever that greenish drink it was that you had.
Don't get me wrong I saw you doing other stuff, but don't lie to me and the public on this platform. You ordered your waitresses around like you owned them, were rude to them directly in front of me and my wife, we saw you. Don't deny it.
I also like how you didn't comment on the time frame of getting our food. We had waited roughly 40 minutes for our appetizers from the time we ordered. Why in God's name would we send it back or have it "rectified" and quite honestly probably have to wait the same amount of time for another?
If your staff can't keep up, get more or get better staff.
If the iced teas were 3$ then I apologize for that.
You are most welcome for my honest...
Read moreWe enjoyed our last meal as an engaged couple here before going home to get married! It was a scrumptious dinner with some lovely drinks. The atmosphere at Tap That Bar + Kitchen was so warm, relaxing and inviting, it was the perfect way to set the mood for our evening. We arrived just before 5 and there were only a few other people inside. We were seated right away at a table near the fireplace and Christmas tree. Drinks didn't take long to arrive along with a few more people to be seated. The Cotton Candy Martini is super sweet and super tasty with a fun touch of actual cotton candy, The Liskeard Lemonade is a whiskey sour that is spot on and goes down dangerously easy. A couple tables were reserved and those guests started to show up after we got our food. My husband tried The Benny on Gluten-Free bun with sweet potato fries, I had the Atlantic Salmon with rice and veggies wrapped in a banana leaf which I found so unique, I had so many leftovers with this generous serving. We both were pleasantly impressed with the food, it was all extremely delicious and we can't wait to return to try other dishes. The entire staff are so friendly too. You gotta...
Read moreI can usually find at least one thing to complain about at any place I eat at but this time I could not. From the simple things like ambiance, music, decorations, flowers, service and especially the food, everything was top-notch. I even noticed a small lemon tree. The drinks came in a mason jar with unique small cubes, a bamboo type looking straw. There was a slice of lime on the rim adding a nice touch. The napkins were thick and plush. The burgers were amazing and served on a pretzel bun. The poutine was excellent served with awesome gravy and Thornloe cheese. The portions were generous and the pricing very reasonable. Our waitress was happy, polite, courteous, checked on us throughout our meal and had pleasant small talk. The owner also took some time out of his busy day to discuss with us our wedding plans which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be going back to eat and we are seriously considering it for...
