Waterfront Boardwalk Trail — Attraction in Temiskaming Shores

The trail is flat and accessible for people with strollers, requiring motorized assistance vehicles or wheel chairs. The boardwalk is pretty well maintained and provides many access points to beaches, parks, and other outdoor entertainment.

I only gave 4 stars for two reasons:

1. often there is garbage and broken glass along the trail/beach by the picnic tables and the tree line

2. there is quite a height drop from the boardwalk to the beach. I brought my older parents there last summer and they could barely step down off of the boardwalk to the beach without having to hold on to my shoulder for balance. A ramp or something might be a useful addition.

All in all the boardwalk is well maintained (structurally) and a very enjoyable walk to take regardless...

Came to Lisk to attend a funeral 😢 of my dearly departed Aunt. We decided to stay the night in order to play it safe with the wildlife. First impressions were ok. Toni at the front desk was quite personable and pleasant to deal with. Room was clean enough for the price we paid. Stayed in Room 6, others in Room 3 and Room 26. Upstairs is double beds and seems nicer than the single digit rooms. Parts of our room have been updated and some things could be fixed up nice. We stayed during a hear wave and blew a breaker running the A.C. however the manager fixed it within the hour. Overall for the money our stay was worth it. Make sure to walk the boardwalk at the waterfront....

Trail has boards to walk on. Mostly in front of water. Would deduct half a star because boards are often not visible in winter, but google does not allow. Otherwise as described.

Still has more boards than any other walk in town.

Update: Recently saw a beautiful family of waterfowl resting along the boardwalk. They were very calm and moved along in due time. Would increase rating by 1 star...
