Restaurant Da Pietro — Restaurant in Terrebonne

We had an amazing service by Michel (an older French gentleman). He was friendly, making sure that we had our food right after the appetizer, glass with wine. Some people had a bad experience with service in the reviews but I think that Da Pietro fixed the situation. The quality of the food is good. My wife had a spaghetti Bolognese, bug portion, pasta al dente… very good. I had the scallop al Limone, I found the portion small, I wish I had more pasta in my plate. The veal was very tender.

Two small things to improve in my opinion, the bread was cold and not very fresh. For this level of restaurant, I would expect the bread to be warm and fresh when served.

The crème brûlée was cold also, usually the sugar is melted right before serving and that gives it a little warm feeling.

My family and I reserved for 10 people and planned on eating pizza and celebrating my 31st birthday. Unfortunately, while taking our orders we were told that they normally don’t serve tables of 10 people without a set menu and they refused to let us order more than 3 pizzas. The server said he accepted the reservation as a “gesture of goodwill” but we would have preferred if he was honest during the phone call so that we could have made an informed decision. We were also harassed and asked if we wanted wine several times in the few hours we were there. If they were concerned about their alcohol sales they should not have restricted us from our choices. What a gem! We recently discovered this cute little Italian restaurant near our house, and I can’t believe we hadn’t been here sooner. The staff was extremely inviting and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely on point — our waitress confirmed that the pasta is made fresh every day, and you can really taste the difference.
