I apologize to anyone that reads this, it's long and probably more detailed than it needs to be. Unfortunately a TL;DR wouldnt do this justice.
So to start the restaurant was roughly at about half capacity or less as i walked in not very busy like i've seen a few times. there was 2 groups + my own waiting up front one looking to pay and another looking to be seated. No staff up front to greet or seat people. All 3 groups were waiting atleast 5 minutes. During this time i could see a staff member through the door window leading to the back room and kitchen just looking up at us and drinking a coffee.at this point the party of 2 infront of me got frustrated and left. after about 30 seconds the girl in the back and i believe a manager came up to seat us. I mentioned to the manager that they just lost 2 customers because there was no one up here. I'm not sure if he is just disconnected from reality but he basically accused me of lying and said someone was here and we just walked in, i repeated that we were here for atleast 5 minutes then just dropped it.
Once seated we ordered our drinks then food like standard. Took about 30 minutes to get our food. I'm not a chef so i don't know of a standard but i dont think 3 burgers and 3 sets of fries should take any longer than 20 minutes on a moderately busy day, so long as your kitchen isn't messed up. we also had to waive down our waitress for refills and then had to wait close to 10 minutes just to get the refills. The last issue is probably just an honest mistake but if your going to advertise a limited time offer of free drinks and fry refills with burger orders don't charge the drinks onto the bill, i really hope that isn't a regular thing.
To end things, i just want to give some helpful advice to who I'm assuming is the manager or one of the managers at this location. If a customer comes to you with a problem they witnessed or experienced and gives you a solution to the problem, just say thank you. Also if staff are going to look like they are on break do it where people cant see you.
Also i would recommend the manager on duty at the time attend a conflict resolution and management course, because i don't even know how you manage to stay in your position if you think how you reacted today was the correct course of action. If calling me a liar (indirectly) right out of the gate is how you handle situations, I can only imagine how far down you would go if this escalated...
Read moreI ordered the Cali Roasted Turkey Melt, expecting a fresh, hearty sandwich for $19, based on the appealing, healthy-looking image in the menu. What I received, however, was a disaster: the sandwich arrived looking nothing like the photo. It was missing key ingredients like avocado, had only a tiny cherry tomato slice, and came on thin, soggy brown toast instead of the thick multigrain bread promised. The presentation was sloppy, with no attempt to even resemble the advertised meal.
When I politely pointed out the issues, the server got defensive, insisting the photos are “fake computer-generated” and that they “can’t serve anything like them.” I get that it might not look staged, but all I expected was a fresh, quality sandwich with the ingredients I paid for. Eventually, a manager came out and offered to remake it. I asked to keep the onion rings so I wouldn’t be left waiting, but they were taken away and never returned.
The replacement sandwich was somehow even worse. Rather than a fresh, satisfying meal, it arrived as a greasy, oily mess. They’d used the same cheap, soggy bread but slathered it in butter to force a crust—only making it even more soaked in oil. The turkey, which tasted more like chicken, was undercooked and dripping with grease. What should have been a simple, fresh sandwich ended up as an unpleasant concoction, where the only detectable flavor was canola oil.
The service was equally disappointing. The server rolled his eyes while taking my feedback, seemed ashamed of the food, and avoided eye contact, giving the impression he didn’t want to hear it. This experience was insulting both as a customer and as someone who expects the basics: honesty, effort, and respect. For $19, I don't expect Michelin star, but I could have had 2 fast food meals elsewhere that would have been healthier, satisfying and edible.
I paid, but I’ll never be back—and I’ll be warning others to...
