GUAC MEXI GRILL — Restaurant in Thunder Bay

This usually is my place to go. I love their food.

However today, i went and got 6 (2 orders of 3) chicken tacos..

I have never seen such little meat. Like each taco has maybe 1 or two small nibblets of chicken.

I ordered from bar burritto, 3 chicken tacos(same size) 3 beef, got 1 queso cheese, two bags of chips and a salsa, for 27$

I just paid Guac, 27$ for just 6 tacos with hardly any meat. I asked the server(who was training) if this was the right ammount of meat as when they were scooping it they were wiggling chicken out of the scoop. They said yes...

Never again, im sorry but 27$ for this when i can buy twice as much at Barburrito. Youve lost a customer.

Unfortunately the management is also a liar, they did not tell me about taco Tuesday deal, there is no signage that said it was a deal day.

Secondly, I cannot eat rice and beans, blaming the customer because the corn taco(the authentic version) you sourced isn't good enough.

I did not request gluten free, they did not tell me the deal, also when I inquired about the teaspoon sized portions of meat, they said that is the standard ammount. They did not put more chicken.

If that person has been there a year, and you allege they said all this, I am here to tell you they did not. I would tell them what I want and then they'd ask me again the same question.

I will never go back. Barburrito is better...

Guac Mexi Grill was such a great find! My spouse and I are from Southern California and eat Mexican food pretty often, so we're a bit picky when it comes to flavor, seasoning, and freshness. This place reminded us of Chipotle in the states.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made to order. I had the bowl and my spouse had the chicken tacos. Loved the options and that the fajita veggies were made right in front of us! The chips and queso were also great and well seasoned.

We've tried a few spots in Thunder Bay, and both of us agreed that Guac Mexi Grill was much better than Nortenos. The portions were generous, the toppings had that authentic, bold taste we've been missing, and the service was quick and friendly. If you're craving Mexican food in Thunder Bay, this is the closest we've come to the flavors of home...

I initially planned on going to A&W, but thought I’d give this place a try. It took a few minutes before the employees were ready to take my order as they were cleaning. Someone new was being trained, they were quite shy and had difficulty confirming my order. I think a more seasoned employee would have added slightly more food to my barbacoa bowl, but I still got a good portion. When I finally tried to food, I was pleasantly surprised.
