McDonald's — Restaurant in Thunder Bay

Food and water are basic needs for all human beings.

If you go to any Tim Hortons,Popeyes or any restaurants in Thunder Bay, you can get a cup of water through the drive-through (you might need to pay for a paper cup, but that’s okay).

If you go to the Memorial McDonald’s, Cumberland McDonald’s, or Red River McDonald’s, everyone can get a cup of water through the drive-through.

But if anyone goes to Arthur McDonald’s, no one can get a small cup of water through the drive-through. And if you ask why, they’ll tell you that “it’s against their law”—that if they (specifically Arthur McDonald’s) serve a simple water order through the drive-through, they’ll lose a lot of time.

But here’s the interesting part: all the McDonald’s in Thunder Bay are owned by Rob and operated by James, and they are both pure-hearted gentlemen. I don’t believe they would ever introduce such instructions to the crew.

This happened to my boyfriend a couple of times. He used to work at Memorial McDonald’s for three years, and he was a manager too. He never received any such instructions from Rob, James, or any of the salaried managers. That’s why I felt like I should share this.

Shame on arthur McDonald's crew members...

They claim to be 24hr. I've gone here 3 times in the last 4 days between the hours of 1:45am and 4:00am and they're always closed. They give excuses on their speaker boxes like "closed for upgrading and cleaning", or sometimes they just put milk crates in the drive thru so you cannot approach the speaker and lock the lobby doors. This has been going on for months! Don't think that it's just been these last few incidents, because it isn't.

When i do manage to make an order (i usually get breakfast), it's usually all messed up. I understand it's an uncommon item to order throughout the day after breakfast hours, so i don't mind waiting for it. But when i get my order the English muffin is always burnt and sometimes half stale like its been sitting under a heat lamp for a while.

McDonald's also recently raised the price of the chicken nuggets, and reduced their size by like 35%! They were a rip off before! Now it's a blatant scam to buy these.

Go to Wendy's. At least their food is real, fair priced, and their hours are accurate to what they advertise.

Step up your game McDonald's....

I went to mcdonalds this morning around 4am before my shift started for coffee and breakfast. There were two other vehicles there. All 3 of us were ignored on the speaker. There wasn't a sign in site that said McDonald's was temporarily closed. I drove up to the window to see if anyone was inside, and there were two young men and a young woman on site. One man kept walking by ignoring me, the other was pointing and laughing at me, and the young girl would duck and hide when I would look over at her, the 3 employees were purposely ignoring and making fun of all of their customers. I have never complained about a business before, but I thought this experience was a little ridiculous. these employees clearly do not care about their jobs and shouldn't be...
