This place is a solid 10 outta 10 and needed to be one of Keith Lee's Toronto stops. The food and service is giving the best authentic vibes and might even make you a little homesick for Jamaica. The prices are reasonable and the quality of food is high. I recommend the ackee and saltfish, the cookup saltish a la carte, and the okra. The cooked good was also really good; proper yam and dumplings (My only complaint is the fried cassava (yucca), fish fritter, and festival. It was really greasy (needs some paper to soak up the excess oil) . Will definitely be back to try more items! Loved it

Whenever I visit Toronto, I usually stop in to get some home cooked Jamaican food. As a Jamaican, I'm very discriminating about where I buy Jamaican food but Aunt Elsie's is the real deal. I picked up 2 Roots Tonic for my husband. I bought some beef + veggie patties and a large king fish dinner. Everything was delicious as usual. I went back just before leaving Toronto. I got a large curry goat dinner for my husband, a large jerk chicken for me, ackee & saltfish with food for my son and veggie patties. Dee-licious! Highly recommended.

I had the jerk chicken meal and the curry chicken meal. Ordered through Ubereats. It had a lot of rice and beans with big pieces of jerk chicken and tasty plantains. The curry chicken meal was over-flowing with gravy and flavour (not pictured). Priced decently. Would definitely order from them again. For more reviews, please follow us on instagram @pktastyfinds

When drive here, you will feel as if you were transformed and not in Toronto anymore. Yes, the area is dodgy. The area feels third world. The parking area is dirty and it feels poor.

I heard about Aunt Elsie on the CBC and decided to try it out. As you walk inside, it is a small grocery store that sells a bunch of Caribbean goods. You would never know that they sell one of the best jerk chicken in Toronto.

The owners seem to be chinese. They probably lived in Jamaica since I heard the chinese population is pretty big in Jamaica.

I ordered the jerk chicken to go. It took about 5 minutes for my order to be fulfilled. Total was about $10. When I opened up the takeout container, I smelled the amazing smell coming at me. The jerk chicken was tender and the rice that came with it was really good too. medium spicy and very moist. Amazing deal! Too bad that it's kind of far away from me but I'd definitely...

I'm from the west end and was just looking to grab a bite. The staff were not accommodating. I asked for a sample of an item that wasn't on display. One server completely forgot my request (told me so). The other walked past me. They are very rude in there. Customer service is not a priority for this establishment.. Meat is also very fatty. A fellow customer of theirs also said they rude from past experiences, so I left and went to a different establishment where I could spend my money to great satisfaction.

If ever in the west end, Jane st. Check out The Jerk Box for some BOMB and fresh food where customers service is great. Their food is also...

I was referred to this small hidden gem. Very nice owners. I go for lunch and this place is always busy. Excellent customer service, freshly made, well seasoned, AUTHENTIC Jamaican food. Ordered stew beef, rice and peas meal. Tasty but received a small serving of beef (only drawback). Their dumplings are huge, light and fluffy inside. Everything is reasonably priced. I have yet to try the other menu items but will surely return! They sell everything here: grocery, bakery and restaurant.

Update: Recently service has been slower and the food not as tasty or leftovers from previous day. When it's fresh, it's delicious. Prices are...
