Such a poor experience last night. My friend and I have come here a couple of times & have not been treated this way before. We came at about 11pm & ordered a bottle of bubbles. We asked for the charcuterie, to which the manger dude said “kitchen is closed”. Which is fine, but my friend then asked another bartender & he said the kitchen closed at 12am… not exactly sure what the manager’s deal was. I was hungry & did not want to drink without eating something, so I hopped over to subway to grab a sub & potato bites. I asked the barback if he would mind if I snacked & he said “sure”. I didn’t even get one bite of the potato bites in before the manager comes & scolds me with “you can’t do that here”. I wouldn’t have to bring outside food into the bar if he had given us the charcuterie, I also was not planning on eating the sub there, I went outside to eat it. Mind you the bar and entire place was not packed by any means, there was maybe 3 other groups. The barback then apologized to me for the manager’s behaviour. Awfully rude of the manager & just so unprofessional. Wine was good, but he put a bad taste in my mouth. He needs to fix that attitude problem he has got going on, it’s embarrassing on his part and tainting the wine...

Would have ordered every dish on the menu had we left more room for food! Every item we did order was delicious, fresh and flavourful! We ordered the warm olives, burrata, East Coast oysters, 3 cheese plate and the duck liver mousse. What originally attracted me to this place was the funky wines they offered! If you’re looking for a wine bar who’s wines are as delicious and thoughtful as the food, look no further! I’m super into Skin Contact/Orange Wine right now and they had a good selection when I was there the other day! Their menu is constantly and seasonally changing so you’d have a hard time finding a menu online, or posted anywhere; just trust whatever they’re serving is spectacular! Cute, cozy, warm, intimate setting. Warm lighting and wood decor make this a great spot to go with friends or a date night. They also have a partially heated back patio which they keep open all year ‘round! Would definitely recommend this spot and am looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes! Bring a friend so you can try more items,...

Stepping into Bar Piquette is like stepping into a charming nook of tranquility. The ambiance is unique and quaint, offering a delightful departure from the typical bustling city bars. The decor is tastefully done, with an eye for detail that adds to the overall charm of the place.

One of the standout features of Bar Piquette is the enchanting greenhouse at the back. It's an unexpected but pleasant surprise, adding a touch of nature's serenity to the urban setting. The greenery provides a refreshing backdrop and makes the experience all the more memorable.

The wine selection at Bar Piquette is exceptional, with a range of options that cater to different tastes. The Syrah, in particular, was a revelation. It had a robust flavor profile that was both complex and pleasing to the palate. A very flavourful and medium bodied wine that I would definitely drink again. It was a recommendation from the staff, which brings me to another highlight of Bar Piquette - the knowledgeable and...

Let me start by saying it’s a perfect spot for a nice romantic date. Day or Night! Sit in the cozy interior with wood and marble features. Or sit out on the all year round enclosed solarium. Food wise- the menu has staples which are always on the menu. Charcuterie, or individual cheeses and meats, olives, bread— all the perfect accompaniments to your wine. As well as the duck crostini and the mortadella bun — both great. Then seasonally have varying dishes — a carpaccio or crudo are always on the menu. The food is generally good, I cant say I ever had an outstanding dish here. But I also have never left disappointed. It’s a good spot for a glass of wine and snack, but not necessarily for a full dinner. In the photo I had the shrimp carpaccio — which was okay, but nothing I couldn’t make at home myself. Or haven’t made at home. And as well as the duck crostini- as I said classic choice.
