Just had an incident today at this location where the cashier there was unwilling to service the customer. Just to not be racist, I want to first say this involved two black cashier both around teenager age. I had made a purchase and realized that the discount for seniors 10% off was not applicable to items on sale (which the large sign on the front display fails to say). So I asked the cashier if it is possible to possibly refund the transaction and then use the $3 off $10 coupon as it would save me, the customer, a few dollars. The cashier told me she doesn't know what to do, because if she refunded, then the discount would be too. However she said the refund can be done. This did not make sense because I paid for the items, got the 10% discount, so the amount returned would include the discounted amount. She said it didn't make sense, she was unable to calculate that the total amount we paid would have nothing to do with the discount. I have a feeling she was not particular good with math. She then asked me to move aside because she did not want to talk to me. I asked for a manager and she told me to wait on the side. I stepped aside to speak to someone of higher authority. Immediately she asked her co-worker that looked around the same age as her and told her that I were asking for a refund. This girl this told me, that there refunds cannot be done just because I want to use the $3 coupon. And told me to there is nothing she can do and told me to leave the store. I felt like I was highly mistreated for not getting a proper answer.
There were a lot of issues with this, first being, I was getting mixed responses from different people, which show training was not properly administered. Second, I asked for a manager, not someone of the same level to tell me to leave. And it's not about saving the couple dollars, although it would be nice. It's how I was treated, I am beginning to realize they saw that I was asian and I hope that racism was not a factor. I have been to this location many times, and have not had any issues, this is the first time seeing these two workers and was treated with possible racist intent. That is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI enjoy shopping at this bulk barn. When you enter you clean your hands with hand sanitizer then put on gloves.
They have a small selections for cake decorating. My last trip consisted of me looking for candies to put on a birthday cake. I found some candies and I loled the selection. I was looking for those big round multicoloured lollipops but they dont sell them there. I asked the cashier and she said they sell them at the Dollartree next door.
They sell cotton candy which I bought and was hoping to use on the cake but didnt end up using it cause the birthday girl liked how it turned out.
I do wish they had a bigger selection for cake decorating. For example I really needed edible gold and they had gold dust which did the job but I wanted something with a stronger gold colour. I wish they had a larger selection on icing tips as well.
I bought a small sample of custard to taste. It tastes good....like custard. I would buy it for a cake if I needed it. Nothing exceptional, just your regular custard.
I am providing a pick of what I bought and the cake. Some of the candies were bought...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas purchasing from this store and was under surveillance in one of the isles, I constantly come to this store. Iām a black man & was under surveillance by a Somalian women cashier ironically. She tried to play if off as I looked through the reflection of the glass watching her watch me.
If this is the new shoplifting protocol from the company to get black people watch other black people on some house slave, field slave non sense. To prevent our kind from āstealingā then thatās embarrassing.
Im dissapointed in the management and disappointed in the Somalian women. Just because weāre going through a recession doesnāt mean everyone doesnāt have money. Keep this up and this company will be in major legal trouble...
