While I can attest to previously being a loyal customer and loving their pani poori and making recommendations to friends to go and bringing and getting friends hooked, moving forward I will think 100 times before going. As competition in the pani poori arena stiffens, they may lose my business over their service. I recently visited the store only to discover the portable chair they had available for seniors and disabled to sit at the accessible station has been removed and now unavailable. The server had no solution for us, so we had to keep going back and forth to my mom, a cancer patient, with pani poori as she tried to enjoy the live experience. Still, not wanting to take out a clear miss on management’s part to help accommodate disability out on service staff, I left a 30% tip!!! As we were leaving, I discovered it was time for my mom’s cancer med and went back to the cash to ask for a small glass of tap water so mom could take her pill and was refused. The poor server asked her supervisor who said no. I was made to buy a bottle. Atrocious service and dealings in customer service and AODA accommodation. Has the money and fame gone to their head? I hope leadership reads this message and endeavours to do customer service and AODA training for themselves and staff immediately. Hopefully, if I do go again, things will be different, otherwise, they’ve lost a loyal customer and fan and I’ll take my tribe with me! Rehri House just opened across the street and would welcome (and did welcome) my business!
Reply to the reply given: you should note your employee had a cup, took it out to fill water, said she had to ask and was then refused by the other girl she had to ask. When you want to assist someone you think of solutions … offer to serve person at the table, fill water in the cup available, no cup then fill water in a pani poori bowl (only enough for medicine was needed). When you don’t want to assist … you come up with excuses such as no cup! Your answer...
Read moreThe place is located in downtown Hamilton and had a very good ambiance. The place is not super huge but good for snacks.
We ordered Masala puff, garlic bread, Bombay vada pav, Maharaja Mac burger and of course golgappa.
Let’s start with lowest to highest. The garlic bread was disappointing and will not recommend to anyone. The burger was good with double crispy patty but that was too much overloaded and some white sauce which made the lower bun very soggy (see picture) and stopped it from being a great veg burger.
The vada pav was very good but only complain and I have seen in lot of places….why do we have burger buns in vada pav???? But still the vada was very good and would still suggest people trying it.
Ok..now coming to the good part, the veg puff was amazing. It was very crispy, meticulously added flavourful sauces and it’s a must try for everyone.
And last and the best, the golgappa. This was delicious just like India.we spent around 35$ just for this as we both are golgappa lovers. I know it was little on the pricy side but it was well worth it. Request to have an unlimited deal for this 😜
I am going back to this place for sure and must checkout place for everyone who love...
Read moreordered Dabeli box through uber, uber pick up shows food to be ready at 5:38 pm. I walk at 5:31 pm to pick up, server says 5 minutes, I wait guy comes out with an uber order, shouts uber order, I walk up and he asks me "tap on delivery started". I'm like what?? he says click on delivery started. Then he understood that it's a different order. He goes back without saying anything. Time is already 5:39 pm and the first thing he does is tap on order picked up, I get a notification that enjoy your food and I am waiting at the counter to contemplate whats going on.
Same guy comes after 10 minutes, starts preparing and after 15 mins of the order picked up notification, I get my food without any reaction from the guy. I ask what happened and he says enjoy your food. I am not sure what trauma that guy had working there but it was inhumane especially if you are in the service industry.
Coming to the food, it was not worth having. They take buns, they dont even heat them apply some oil or butter on them and fill it with hot dabeli masala. They miss the whole point of Dabeli. I can come and prepare better Dabelis which will have more reorder % than what you currently have.
