I’ve visited a few Chaiwala locations across the GTA, but this was my first time at this particular spot — and I was genuinely impressed. The space is much more open and spacious compared to others, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in, whether you’re just grabbing a quick chai or planning to stay a while.

The staff were attentive and friendly, which really enhanced the overall experience. I ordered their signature Karak Chai — rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed — and paired it with the Chicken Tikka Toastie. The toast was packed with flavor, served hot and crisp, with just the right balance of spices. Definitely lives up to the hype!

I ended up staying for about an hour to catch up on some work, and the team was kind enough to offer complimentary Wi-Fi, which made the visit even more convenient. It’s not just a place for great chai and snacks, but also a comfortable spot to unwind or be productive.

Overall, a fantastic experience — I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for authentic chai and a cozy place to...

Chaiiwala is a delightful spot that expertly blends traditional chai culture with a modern café vibe. As soon as you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The décor features cozy seating and vibrant colors, perfect for both casual meetings and solo visits.

The star of the menu is, of course, the chai. Their masala chai is rich and aromatic, made with a perfect blend of spices and fresh milk. Each cup is crafted with care, offering a comforting taste that transports you to a bustling street corner in India. They also offer a variety of other beverages, including flavored teas and specialty coffee.

Pair your drink with one of their delicious snacks—try the samosas or the paneer tikka, both of which are freshly made and packed with flavor.

What truly stands out is the friendly staff, always ready to chat and make recommendations. Whether you’re a chai aficionado or a newcomer, Chaiiwala provides a warm and welcoming experience.

If you’re looking for a cozy place to unwind and enjoy some fantastic chai, Chaiiwala is...

We visited Chaiiwala in Scarborough around 9 PM. The place isn’t small, but it was quite packed, mostly with students hanging out, working on their laptops while sipping tea. Because of that, we had to wait about 30 minutes before a table freed up. The layout could definitely be improved by adding more sit-down spots to accommodate the crowd better.

We tried the pani puri, but it was disappointing, very bland. The chana mix lacked spices and flavor, and the pani didn’t have the usual tangy tamarind kick.

The Bombay sandwich was also underwhelming, missing bold flavors.

The breakfast wrap with sausage and egg was very dry and didn’t leave much of an impression.

The chicken tikka wrap was the highlight. It was tasty, with the mint sauce adding a great taste to it.

The spicy fries were a letdown too. It seemed like they just mixed ketchup with masala to make it spicy, which didn’t work well.

The karak chai and coffee were good though.

Overall, I expected better food based on the buzz, but only the drinks and chicken tikka...

The ambiance of this place is wonderful! Its the cafe equivalent of chai which is rare but great. Very few places in the GTA for chai lovers. So I’m really rooting for you guys! However the food disappoints. I ordered - Karak chai : This was good a little too milky for my taste but that’s ok(4.5/5) - Hot chocolate: This was terrible. It’s called chocolate but looks like light brown milk. I’m sorry but u cannot call it hot chocolate, more like mild chocolate flavoured milk. The brown in this was lighter than the chai. Image attached (0/5) - Chicken tikka roll: This wasn’t great either. It was basically big chunks of chicken breast with a very mild masala rolled into a thick paratha. Flavour disappoints (2.5/5) - Chicken tikka sandwich : I thought this was good. Although small, It was cheesy and paired well with bread. (4/5) I would definitely visit again but and order something else and hopefully it would have better flavour if not then wouldn’t come back

Tried Chaiiwala of London on Markham Road and really enjoyed it! The food was great with lots of options to choose from. We started with the Aloo Tikki Chaat which was nice, then had the English-Ish platter — very good overall, though the sausage was a bit overcooked. The Bombay Toastie (Chicken Tikka melt) was good too — simple but tasty, with really light, fluffy bread. For drinks, we had the warm Karak Chai which hit the spot, but the Iced Karak Coffee was the real standout — amazing! They have great customer service — very friendly and welcoming — just be prepared for a bit of a wait on the English breakfast since it has a lot of ingredients to prepare. I also love the ambience here — cool signage, good attention to detail, and it makes for a great late-night hangout spot. It’s a huge plus that everything is halal and they boycott Coke products too. Can’t wait to come back!
