So, I just had the Chicken Kitchen's Wednesday Special Chicken Sandwich, and let me tell you, it was amazing! The sandwich was everything I could ask for and more. First of all, the chicken was juicy and had a perfect crunch. It was cooked just right, not too dry or greasy. The spiciness was on point as well, giving it a nice kick without overwhelming my taste buds. I like a little heat, and this sandwich delivered. The toppings were the icing on the cake. The lettuce was fresh and added a nice crunch, while the tomato and red onion brought some tanginess and extra flavour. They all worked together so well, creating a delicious combination. What I appreciate about Chicken Kitchen is the quality of its ingredients. You can taste that they use good-quality chicken, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The overall experience was great too. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was casual and inviting. It's the kind of place where you can grab a satisfying meal without any fuss. If you're a chicken sandwich lover like me, you've got to try the Wednesday Special at Chicken Kitchen. It's a flavourful delight that hits all the right notes. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be coming back for more of that mouth-watering goodness!

I have edited my review as Chicken Kitchen has really gone downhill in the last 2 years. The chicken is great, and the fries are decent. The poppers are usually great as well. But in the last 2 years, the orders have gotten really slow, the average wait for an order of fried chicken is 40 minutes. Each time I’ve called an order in (this is at least 7 or 8 times now) I get told that the order will be ready in 20-25 minutes. Each time I get there, I get told the order will be another 15 minutes, and it’s usually closer to 20 minutes tbh. If they would just tell me an honest time, I wouldn’t mind as much, but every single time I’m waiting in store for an order that should have been ready 20 minutes earlier. Also tonight, we ordered 8 poppers, got 4 regular sized poppers, and 4 half ones? (Pic below) Why would they even serve poppers that have been cut in half to customers? I’m not sure if they’ve changed management or something, but Chicken Kitchen has gone downhill.

I should’ve cancel my order once I heard the cashier asking her country men to give a 5 star review for a free drink. I bought 20 chicken wings big mistake, it’s clear the chicken is old based on the brown color and the chewiness of the chicken and the bland flavour, and it’s greasy. Nooooo flavor whatsoever. This place is for single men with no girlfriends or wives it’s a last resort kinda spot & still I wouldn’t recommend. I should’ve ordered 10 now, just wasted $25 don’t let the 4.4 stars fool you. It should be a weak 2.5 stars. I’m BIG mad because I had a long day and just and something fry and delicious. Besides all that it’s affordable and for chicken lovers who can get a different special everyday of the week. 👎🏿👎🏾

I don’t usually write long reviews, but Chicken Kitchen truly deserves it. From the moment I walked into the location at 2086A Lawrence Ave E, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the space, the welcoming atmosphere, and the warm, attentive staff.

Let’s start with the food — the absolute star of the show. I ordered the chicken sandwich combo, and it was genuinely one of the best I’ve ever had. The chicken was hot, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The bun was fresh and lightly toasted, with just the right amount of sauce and toppings to complement the chicken without overpowering it. The Cajun fries were crispy and flavorful, not too salty, and served piping hot.

What really stood out was the portion size — you’re definitely getting value for your money. I’ve been to a lot of chicken spots around the GTA, but Chicken Kitchen stands out for both quality and quantity.

The staff were fantastic — polite, quick to greet me, and made sure everything was prepared just the way I wanted. Even during a busy time, they kept things moving efficiently. You can tell the team here takes pride in what they do.

The menu also offers a great variety — from wraps and wings to poutine and even desserts. I appreciated the clearly labeled halal options, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality you’re getting.

Also worth noting is the late-night hours — this place stays open until 2:00 or 3:00 AM, which makes it perfect for late dinners or post-night-out cravings. I’ve now been a few times, and the consistency is something I really value. Every time I go, the food is fresh, hot, and satisfying.

Whether you’re a die-hard chicken sandwich fan or just looking to try something new, I absolutely recommend Chicken Kitchen. You won’t be disappointed — this spot is a hidden gem in Scarborough that deserves all the hype it gets. I’ll definitely be back...

Best Halal Certified Fried Chicken in Toronto! The Fried Chicken, Chicken Tenders, and Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich is just like Prime Popeyes Fried Chicken from back in the day! Chicken Kitchen also has a Halal Certificate on site, which is great! I ordered the 8 Piece Combo with Large Peri Peri Fries and 4 Biscuits, a 3 Piece Tenders Box, and a Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The Chicken Tenders were amazing! I’m not a Chicken Tenders kind of guy, but I loved it! The Spicy Fried Chicken was also amazing! However, there were some issues with my order. One, the Deep Frying Oil needs to be changed every day! My Fried Chicken smelt and tasted fishy!!! Two, your Fried Chicken packaging is cheap and low grade! You must use higher grade packaging for the Fried Chicken. The cheap packaging was leaking oil and was about to fully rip apart!!! Three, you must bring back the Spicy Option for your Fried Chicken. The Fried Chicken was not plain, but it’s weird that you guys don’t have a Spicy Option no more! Even though, there is a Spicy Option Checkmark Square on the packaging!!! Almost all of the Fried Chicken Places out there have a Spicy Option! Four, you guys got to bring back the Cajun Fries. You guys have it on the menu! It’s weird that you guys don’t sell it when it’s on your menu!!! Also, my Large Peri Peri Fries were very oily and soggy!!! All of these cutbacks are totally unnecessary! You guys went downhill for two years and lost all of your customers. Currently, your Fried Chicken, Chicken Tenders, and Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich has improved, but you guys gotta stop cutting back!!! All you need to do is increase the price accordingly, so that you guys can run Chicken Kitchen the right way! When you provide quality food to your customers, you will see a big spike customers, and they will always keep on coming back for more! You gotta spend money...

In a time when many restaurants focus on trends, gimmicks, or cutting corners, Chicken Kitchen Sheppard stands as a reminder of what truly matters: quality, consistency, community, and care. It’s not flashy. It’s not trying to chase what’s viral. Instead, it’s quietly building something far more meaningful — loyalty and trust.

As someone who has grown up around a mix of cultures, foods, and stories, I can tell you this: Chicken Kitchen represents more than just fried chicken. It’s a blend of tradition and innovation, of flavor and faith, of small business spirit and big heart vision.

They’ve created a space where people feel welcome, full, and satisfied, not just in stomach but in spirit. That’s a rare achievement, and it deserves to be celebrated.

To the Owners & Staff Thank you. Thank you for showing us that halal food can be done with excellence and integrity. Thank you for treating every guest with respect and warmth, no matter how busy you are. Thank you for keeping it real — no shortcuts, no pretenses. Just passion and pride in every plate.

You’ve earned every bit of the praise you receive — and then some.

To Future Customers If you haven’t been yet, go. If you’ve only tried it once, go again — and try something new. Bring your friends, bring your family, and bring your appetite. You’ll leave satisfied, impressed, and probably planning your next visit.

Scarborough is lucky to have a place like this. And hopefully, it’s just the beginning for the Chicken...
