February 9, 2024 I have been craving food from Aleppo Kebab since my previous posting, but due to serious health issues that began in January 2023 (and continue to this day), I have been unable to make my way there. It wasn't until my aunt mentioned yesterday that she ordered Greek food, that I started to think about kebabs. I always thought that because Aleppo Kebab was so far from me, I wouldn't be able to order for delivery, but when I checked Skip the Dishes, lo and behold, I could!!! You know how this will end. I placed my order and finally satisfied my cravings! They are just as awesome as they always were. I had the mixed plate - 1 chicken and one beef kebab (see photo with food in take-out tray). I'm not going to let anywhere near that long pass before I either order again, or go in person. No siree! November 12, 2022 Yep, they still got it. Lunch today with a friend who had never been here before. We both had the mixed plate. Still ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! July 3, 2022 Picked up some chicken kebabs, some beef cube kebabs and some falafel today to take to a family pot luck get together. There was only 7 of us including my 84-year old aunt. Some had never tried falafel before, but when it wound up around 7:30pm, everything was gone. I didn't have anything left to take home for me! Thank you ALEPPO 5⭐️ Kebab! Between September 6/20 and March 21/22, I have visited this restaurant many times and have tried several of their menu offerings. I have taken many friends, and other friends have gone on their own based on my recommendation. Great food, great portions, great service, great prices. They certainly deserve 5 stars. I've tried everything I wanted to try and as much as I love the food, their location is not really that convenient for me (I only travel by TTC) so I can't say for sure when my next visit will be. But I wish them all the luck in the world for the future. They are more than worthy of it.

Tried this new kebab place in the kabab/shawarma alley. It replaced the lebanese breakfast resto and really close to my family and friends’ tried and proven mid east grilled restaurants. Excited to try but had to wave my hand and call out to have myself seated. There were only two families at that time, so not busy but they were all hands on deck on their to go. Not sure what took long for them to notice but had to get really close to get their attention. Not one to easily give up, I asked loudly if I can just grab a seat and if I can already order. I told the male server what he recommended but after explaining to me what it is, and me agreeing to ordering it, he said “but it’s not available”. So, whatever, I chose the first thing I thought sounds good- the adana kebab. About 5 mins later, my food came. The wrap was grilled well, warm and smelled good with a spread of hummus on the plate. Really excited and hoping it was going to be good but it fell short on flavour. The spices were very toned down, the meat was dry and except for the parsley, it was the only herbal flavour I could get other than lacklustre beef. The hummus was not any better, unfortunately, and the little bit of olive oil could not provide relief to the dryness of the meat. Or perhaps it was overcooked. And to top it off, all these dry chewing made me thirsty, so I asked for water or hot tea which the servers were giving to the other guests. Unfortunately, I was told they ran out but could get a soda or juice. I said no, paid my bill, and left, and sorry, but tried to give it a chance but at least for me, it felt short on spice and flavour area. I’m sure others love it but not for me.

I took my family of 5 for dine in, unfortunately the seating is very limited and we decided to order takeout instead. I ordered couple of the the Aleppo Kebab mixed platters (12 skewers), fries and rice. The staff was very polite and helpful. The Kebab was very tender. The Tikka and shish tauk said it all. The majority of restaurants cheap out on the beef cut when it comes to the Tikka and therefore is dry and over cooked. However, this Tikka was very tender and juicy. This speaks volumes to the quality of meat they used. Same for the shish tauk... very tender and juicy. Was not dry at all. I was very impressed with the Beef Tikka because that tells alot about the restaurant. Well done Aleppo Kebab. The mixed platter came with fair portions of Humus, Garlic sauce and pickles. They didn't cheap out on the portions. Again, this is a great example of a good restaurant that takes pride in the quality of the food they serve and not nickel and dimming their guests. I am a huge fan of mixed grill platters and I actually seek out all types of middle eastern and Turkish restaurants all over the GTA that serve them. I have tried many restaurants (the Tikka is usually hard, dry and over cooked) and I can honestly say that Aleppo Kebab served the best mixed grill plater. They nailed it. Everything was on point. Too bad they don't have a larger seating area for dine in. That's the only missing part and I hope they consider expanding their seating area. My family and I enjoyed it and very happy. I will definitely be coming back for more. WELL DONE ALEPPO KEBAB

I recently had dinner at Aleppo Kebab in Scarborough with a friend, and I have to say—it was a great experience from beginning to end. The food was full of rich, comforting flavours, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Everything about this place stood out in a good way. We ordered the Aleppo Kebab Signature Platter and the Half Aleppo Mix (6 Skewers). Both meals were really delicious and tasty. The meats were grilled just right—tender, juicy, and full of real Syrian and Armenian spices. The sides were fresh and full of flavour, and you could tell they were made with care. You could really taste the tradition and pride in every bite. We were lucky to meet Mr. Zak, the chef and owner. He’s not only great at cooking, but also a very kind and down-to-earth person. It’s clear that he puts his heart into everything he does—from the delicious food to the amazing team he works with. I told him this was my first time trying beef shawarma at a Syrian restaurant, and I was so impressed! Most Syrian places are known for chicken shawarma (which they also make very well here), but the beef shawarma really stood out. It was full of flavour, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Every bite was something to remember. As good as the food was, the service, especially from Larita, made the evening even better. Right from the start, Larita greeted us with a warm smile and a very friendly, professional attitude. She made us feel welcome and relaxed. She was patient, answered all our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. She stayed calm and confident and handled everything smoothly, which made our evening even more enjoyable. One of the best things was her great recommendation. She clearly knows the menu very well, and the dish she suggested was exactly what we were looking for—without even knowing it! She checked in just the right amount—always there when needed, but also gave us space to enjoy our meal. That kind of service is rare, and it made us feel really taken care of. Larita is kind, professional, and a big part of what makes Aleppo Kebab special. Her kind service stayed with us long after we left. She’s a great example of this place's warm and caring atmosphere. She’s beautiful inside and out, and her hospitality was just as memorable as the food. If you go to Aleppo Kebab, I hope you’re lucky enough to be served by Larita—she truly makes the experience better. I also want to say that the rest of the staff were amazing—friendly, respectful, and able to speak both English and Arabic, which made everything smoother and more comfortable. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming feel. It was clean, well-kept, and nicely organized, which added to the good experience. Even though it was very busy, the service was fast and well-managed. We didn’t have to wait long, and everything came out fresh and hot. Parking is free, which is always nice, but it was a bit hard to find a spot because the lot was almost full. If you’re coming during busy hours, it’s a good idea to come a little early so you have time to find parking. If you’re looking for 100% Halal, real Middle Eastern food in the GTA, this is a place you should definitely try. The food is full of flavour, the portions are big, the prices are fair, and the service is warm and genuine. Aleppo Kebab is truly a hidden gem in Scarborough. A big thank you again to Mr. Zak—not just for the amazing food, but for everything: the great quality, the generous servings, the good prices, and most of all, for putting together such a kind, professional, and friendly team. Just one small suggestion: the restaurant was packed when we visited (which shows how many people love it!), so Mr. Zak, I hope you’ll think about moving to a bigger space. You’ve created something very special here, and clearly the community appreciates it. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’re bringing our families and...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Aleppo Kabab for the past 4 years, and have always enjoyed their food — fresh, flavorful, and consistent. The staff has been friendly and polite, and it’s one of our favorite spots to visit with family and friends. I’ve even tried their new Ajax location and had great experiences there too.

But today, my experience at the Scarborough location left me very disappointed, and I’m updating my previous 5-star review to 1 star.

I arrived at the restaurant around 10:50 AM and was 5th in line. Orders started being taken right at 11:00 AM. When it was my turn, I tried to order 3 plates of Shawarma over rice for my family who were already seated inside. At first, I was told I could only order 2 plates, but after I explained the situation, the staff accepted the full order and told me it would be ready in 20 minutes.

But that’s where things went downhill.

I noticed that the shawarma flame was only lit at 11:00 AM, and while they were able to cut slices from the spit for the first few orders (7 plates), after that they started grilling raw chicken on the flat top and serving that instead. This isn’t what I expect when ordering shawarma — especially not from Aleppo.

After waiting 40 minutes, we were then informed by Khalid that the beef shawarma wasn’t ready, and only chicken was available. At this point, we decided to cancel the order and asked for a refund.

To make things worse, while people were waiting, staff seemed more focused on connecting speakers and recording videos of the shawarma setup than actually preparing food for the growing crowd. Given the number of people already in line before opening, it was disappointing to see such a lack of readiness from a place known for its professionalism.

Aleppo Kabab has always been one of my top recommendations — but today’s experience was frustrating and far from their usual standards. I sincerely hope they take this feedback seriously and address the operational issues at the...
