Best favas around. Great BBQ chicken. Generous portions at great prices. We had their steak in mushroom sauce and 2 sides each for $15.00 each!!! It wasn't a big steak to be sure but, damn, it was very flavourful, tender and cooked to a medium so it wasn't overdone even sitting in the pan. The service was very efficient. It's not full service but what do you expect from a take out place? You order the food and drinks that you want, you sit down, you get some olives bread and butter (butter is too cold to spread) and then promptly you get your meal and your drinks delivered to your table. When you're done you get up and pay. Easy and unpretentious. If you're like me though, you get a whole bunch more food to take home and you surprise your better half with delicious chicken, favas, rice and Parisienne potatoes in well stuffed containers! All for what you'd pay for 1 person at most restaurants. As for what some are saying about the staff being rude? Absolutely NOT. Very pleasant and took the time to explain the ingredients in the dishes. I have been many times and I have never been disappointed with the service. I’ve been a customer here for 15 years , but today was my last day . I used to come with my dad and sisters every week , now I can’t that often … but when I’m craving meat I would drive all the way here for a beef a la casa . But today I went with my mom , and we ordered medium term but it came rare … extremely rare ,veggies and potatoes cold and my steak definitely didn’t have the right flavour (and trust me, I know what a good steak is , this one taste like old meat) … and that’s ok ….things can happen right ? But what make me take the decision is the way customer service has become … lady was really angry at our observations , and they hired now Spanish speaking people which is great … funny and ironic part .. Mexican guy on the grill won’t talk to you in Spanish even if you talk to them in Spanish … my brother in law went the other and he speaks 0 English … I told him you are ok .. there are Spanish people there …. My brother in law felt humiliated by this guy ( I know it’s not you obligation but come oooonnnn !!!) if you go to an Italian, Portuguese , Spanish store you hope for certain language help right ? I ordered almost $50 worth of food today in plans of making it last the weekend and including an extra meal to eat in the car. As we were cashing out I was asked for hot sauce and utensils. Said yes to both. I asked for extra hot sauce which she only provided 1. As we opened everything up and prepared to eat we realized there were no utensils in the bag. My boyfriend went back in the store and to his surprise the older woman who served us with the glasses said “I am not giving you more forks they are in the bag, the girl saw”. My boyfriend felt uncomfortable and didnt want to make a scene since other customers were there. We then were forkless so luckily the bakery next door gave us forks with ZERO QUESTIONS!

2nd point. Another time we asked for extra hot sauce and the woman LITERALLY faked getting hot sauce and put her hand in the bag.

Just terrible customer service and very upsetting that we’ve had 2 bad experiences/moments...
