Seara Bakery — Restaurant in Toronto

Very bad attention from the staff, this morning we went to breakfast and the waitress who was only one did not come to clean the table so we had to clean it since we tried to understand that she was the only one, in short we realized that she did clean the other tables and even though they had arrived later they were served first, anyway, when she finally approached us we asked her as a favor for a sauce to accompany our food but it never arrived, we saw that they served others so we asked her again, anyway we thought she might have forgotten, in short she was pending on the other tables but passed us by, we let that go but when it was time to pay I approached the counter and was waiting to pay and even though I had arrived first and had been waiting for a long time a girl who was behind the counter with faded yellow hair jumped me and charged others who were on the other side and even seeing that I was There she passed by and charged another person, so I told her I had arrived first and she said no, that she was charging them first because she was serving them even though I had been waiting at the counter for a while. She was rude and indifferent. I didn't want to make the problem bigger and decided to wait. I want to think that it wasn't a racial issue and that both girls just decided to serve me however they wanted.I have been to the other branch and they have always been friendly, but this was the first time I came to this one. I suppose that if they do not want to serve people from other countries, they should then specify that they only serve people from their country and that way we can move on and not be treated badly. Food is great here, especially for a quick coffee and sandwich/sweets. Maybe reconsider who you hire…. The SERVICE on the other hand is TERRIBLE ! I got there at 8 they closed at 9. Latin women was our server and she had no manners, even tried to argue that she needed to remove all plates and cutlery 10mins before closing time. I had a latte and she demanded I finish my drink immediately because she needed to put everything in the dishwasher, politely I told her I’ll bring it up to her when I’m done again she demanded me to finish my drink because she needs to put it in the dishwasher . I then proceeded to pay for my bill and she added a water to my bill in which I mentioned I didn’t have a water .. with all the attitude in the world she said “well someone ordered it and has to pay for it” I asked my family who’s water it was and resolved the issue .. she then spoke to my aunt with attitude and said “obviously you didn’t tell me that the water was yours”(which makes zero sense because she took all of our orders) I was livid at this point and told her that her attitude stinks and she spoke back with disgust. my family personally knows the owner and they will hear from me too. I signed up and placed an order through Uber Eats. The app set my address to another bakery’s business address somehow and I caught this as soon as I placed my order. I was able to put in my personal address but had to cancel the order. This happened within minutes.

I tried to cancel and create a new order but I was out of the area for this bakery. So the order was simply cancelled. I didn’t order a meal or anything that had to be prepared. So this bakery decided to charge me a cancellation fee for over 70% of my order for pre-made goods they only had to throw in a box. I would completely understand if I had ordered a meal and they had to prepare my order from scratch. I wouldn’t even question a cancellation fee for that. I also would understand if I had taken my sweet time cancelling the order, but I didn’t. For that reason I think this review is warranted.

On a further note UberEats could not possibly care less and they said a refund of any kind isn’t eligible for my order as they already paid the vendor and it was the vendor who requested the fee.

Both establishments clearly are lacking where customer service is concerned and I would never support...
