I Went to Chutnyes with a group of friends on Good Friday, and we were quite excited to try out their offerings. The first thing that caught our attention was the availability of Kingfisher beer—always a good start when you're in the mood for some Indian-inspired drinks! We ordered a couple of beers to kick things off. For starters, we went with the Chicken Chilli and an Assorted Non-Veg Platter, which included BBQ chicken, mutton, and prawns. While the flavors were decent, there was something about the platter that made us feel like it had been refrigerated and just reheated before serving—lacked that fresh, on-the-grill vibe. Still, it was tasty enough to get us in the mood for the next courses. The highlight of the evening was definitely the Chicken Vindaloo—it gave off this comforting, home-cooked vibe that really hit the spot. Paired with the garlic naan, which I can confidently say were the stars of the plate, the combination was just right. Soft, flavorful, and perfectly garlicky. For dessert, we had the Pista Kulfi—we ordered two, but to our pleasant surprise, they gave us an extra one as a complimentary treat! 😊 This was a nice touch, and the kulfi was creamy and delicious. We were also given some extra rice pudding to take home as a complimentary dessert when we were leaving, which was a sweet gesture from the chef. Speaking of the chef, they were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome. The service was warm, and the entire staff seemed genuinely attentive and kind. However, I did feel like the bill was a little on the higher side considering the quality. The food, while flavorful, could benefit from a bit more attention to detail—especially with the starters. But overall, the friendly service and thoughtful complimentary treats made up for it. Verdict: A solid place with great service, but a bit of room for improvement in terms of food quality. Would definitely return for the hospitality and the garlic naan!

I ordered Chicken 65 and Dal tadka. The chicken is not even chicken 65: its some weird concoction of spices they put together, for $17!! Broad daylight robbery. The dal is the worst i've ever eaten. Simply added uncooked spices on top to make it medium spicy, completely bland and completely burnt my pallate. Infact i'm pretty sure it was stale. Don't waste your money, rather stay hungry than order.

This is the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. To begin with, my partner and I found out about this place through groupon. Decent deal for two adults.

Great.

Except it was anything but great.

The food was flavourless and cold. The portions were small and overall the meals are a little more pricey than your local or go-to Indian place. Now, I’m all in for a good meal and I’d pay the price for it, but the service was slow despite there being only 3 other people on another table.

I wouldn’t even bother writing a review about it if it just stopped at that. No.

As a lot people properly described the owners; they treat you really bad. The gentleman was very adamant about his mandatory 20%tip on the final bill, which adds up obviously because the meals aren’t exactly cheap. The worst part is that when we confronted him, about the fact that this was not mentioned anywhere in the groupon deal, he dismissed it and kept making excuses as to why its there and kept shaming people that don’t pay the generous tip hinting customers should be held responsible for his employee’s pay.

We are not the first people to complain about this from Groupon as the nice server mentioned. And as I read through the reviews here, there is definitely a pattern.

Don’t go there. You won’t get your money’s worth or...

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Chutneys! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly set the tone for an unforgettable dining journey.

The ambiance was enchanting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that transported us to the heart of India. The aroma of spices tantalized our senses and left us eagerly anticipating the culinary delights to come.

Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and prepared with utmost care. From the rich and creamy butter chicken to the fragrant biryanis, every bite was a symphony of taste that left us craving for more.

The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations that perfectly complemented our preferences.

To top it all off, the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. Dining at Chutneys felt like a luxurious indulgence without breaking the bank.

In conclusion, if you're looking for an exquisite dining experience that celebrates the vibrant and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine, look no further than Chutneys. We cannot wait to return and explore more of their...
