Named after Etobicoke's first Parks Commissioner. The former Central Park remains a this unassuming strip straddling the east side of Islington from Dundas West where the Mimico Creek continues via its momentary obscured flow when it passes under Dundas. Tom Riley Park has the Etobicoke Lawn Bowling Club at its north east edge, a set of tennis courts and just on its edge the expansive Etobicoke Collegiate Institute, home of the Rams and many achieving students and graduates including the venerable though late, Harold Shipp. A baseball diamond as served witness to many hopeful leaguers that commuters can observe from the west as they pass by on Islington or the intersecting Cordova Ave. Continuing along the path on the east and just outside the ball grounds outfield you pass under the rail road overpass and find the green space widens where park benches and sitting areas and a soccer field give locals of all ages a urban park retreat. You know you're at the termination point of this pleasant escape when you climb with the walkway between the trees to Aberfoyle Crescent and find a short walk to Bloor Street and a return to concrete, or pass under the TTC bridge further east along the banks of the Mimico and walk up to the local green P parking lot on Bloor but not before admiring the local Co-op garden locals use to green some thumbs and bring fresh vegetables to their...

Great park for all, young and old. Playgrounds for kids, public tennis courts (and yes their lit at night if necessary), a baseball diamond (off of Islington - lots of parking) and seating to watch the game(s). There’s a soccer field 2/3rds the way from Dundas or a short walk from Bloor on the southern end ... bring a lawn chair as there are minimal benches. People can park at either the southern end or a short walk from Central Arena (skating pleasure and competitive)/Memorial Community Ctr (Pool). There’s lawn bowling with the players in their “whites” ... I hear a young world(? ... sorry facts not confirmed, I’ll leave that one for you) champion resides here too. Mimico Creek runs right through the park where you can watch ducks and feed them (by the way bread is not good for ducks, try oats, grains ... do your research please). Lots of benches to watch the foliage throughout the changing seasons and also to people watch. There’s coffee shops nearby or grab a lunch and go sit in the park. I like to see what is growing in the communal garden close to Bloor ... but don’t touch. You’ll find Montgomery’s Inn near the northern end of the park where you can also park and stroll...

Tom Riley Park? Oh, it's basically the Disneyland of parks! 🎢 Picture this: a picnic blanket, a basket of goodies, and a sunny day. Tom Riley Park is like a picnic paradise! 🌞

The moment you step in, you'll feel like you've entered a magical world of greenery and relaxation. It's like Mother Nature herself decided to throw a picnic party. 🌳

The park has it all – spacious lawns for that classic picnic vibe, playgrounds to keep the kiddos entertained, and even some friendly ducks waddling around to add to the charm. 🦆

Trust me, even your sandwich tastes better when enjoyed at Tom Riley Park. It's like a secret ingredient of happiness or something. 😄

So, if you want to have a blast under the sun and enjoy some quality picnic time, this place is an absolute picnic-perfect...

Great place to walk your dog as there are open fields for tossing balls or you can stay on the paths and do loops. There are structures for children to play on (swings etc) but there is also a ravine, so you should watch carefully that no one falls in. The water level isn't very high, but it's a high fall off the rocks to the water. There is also New Horizons Community Garden located at the Bloor entrance to the park which is a well maintained and cared for garden.

If i had to compress my entire childhood into one singular location, that location would simply have to be tom riley park. This place is home to countless memories of swinging, eating sand, eating ice cream, and getting grass stains on your pants. the recent renovation is a blast for the new generation of kids. it allows children to play freely and creatively. if you love fun, visit tomorrow riley park!!
