I ordered from Mr. Jack's for the very first time through Uber eats. Since it's my first order, I checked the photos on site and read up "about us" and it looks decent. I ordered 2 Canadian burger, 2 poutine and shrimp Alfredo. After taking a bite of the poutine, I had to drink some water to swallow it. The gravy was so salty and the fries was stale. I threw out the poutine after I took a picture to complain to Uber Eats and was so mad because Uber did not refund it. On top of that, the shrimp Alfredo was not good at all. Pasta was overcooked, shrimp was baby Shrimp, not what's on the picture. Plus they added green peppers and topped it with feta. Just imagine the taste. I didn't ask for a refund for it, cause my son ate it after taking the green peppers and feta. The burgers was decent and tasted like Harvey's burgers. Hence the 2 stars.

Response to owner: It's my fault that I didn't check the ingredient information. If I did, I would have not ordered it. I just never heard of putting Greek cheese on an Italian dish. Must be a fusion of some sort. As listed on Uber Eats, shrimp, bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, Alfredo cheese and feta cheese. However, there were only green peppers 5-6 baby shrimp and feta cheese. Believe me it was not good. I only asked for a refund on the 2 medium poutine that was too salty that we could not eat and ended up in the trash. The burgers were good and my son still ate the pasta, so I did not ask for a...

Great lil place although customer service is lacking. Soon as you walk in bell rings and voice says ā€œcustomerā€ yet I still stand at the counter waiting and waiting while the staff kibitz in the back. 1st time I went it was really good. Got the bacon blue burger. 2nd time ordered the same and got a regular bacon cheeseburger. I guess they ran out of blue cheese. Be nice to tell me instead of sneaking me a regular bacon cheeseburger. Anyway burgers are good. If you’re going to order pasta make sure to have time because they told my buddy it would take a half hour. Hopefully they can pull it together because it does have potential Update 8/8/23 Seems in the day when the owner is there this place is awesome! Last time I saw elderly couple ordering the chicken Cesar wrap. Asked them if they were good and they praised them. Today I ordered chicken bacon ranch burger. A double bacon blue burger and a Cesar wrap! Absolutely delicious! My burger was cooked perfect with crispy edges ,Cesar wrap was awesome!! They really do a good job and seems to have new people working. The young gentleman that took my order was friendly, patient and accommodating! So looks like the owner got rid of his problem employees and has new fresh good kids working now! Keep it up!! We need a excellent burger joint in this area! Definitely a repeat...

As a 1st time customer, I was excited to try. I waited for a minute or so at counter, then rang the bell a couple of times. I could hear them all in the back kitchen area, laughing loud & boisterous. Obviously not listening for customers ring the bell. They should have had their ears in tune of bell rang for service as a newly established diner. After a couple of minutes a line formed, us all waiting for SOMEONE to come out & take orders. I LEFT AFTER 2 MINUTES, LISTENING TO A PARTY IN THE BACK KITCHEN THE WHOLE TIME!!!! I'd give less than 1 star if I could, just based on my experience, without even trying food- because I never got the chance! Ugh!!šŸ˜• NEW BURNHAMTHORPE LOCATION. THUMBS DOWN TO CUSTOMER SERVICE! šŸ‘Ž

UPDATE- May 9, 2023

Mr. Jacks reached out to me, & I took them up on an offer to come in & try a burger/fries combo. I must say their food is delicious! Great fries, the gravy was amazing, I was dipping my burger in it too, tho I didn't need to bc the patty tasted homemade grilled & juicy, with the softest, fresh bun & toppings. YUM šŸ˜‹

I recommend that others should definitely stop in & try Mr. Jacks. They have a huge variety of sandwiches plus many other food options to decide from on their menu. Next I'd like to try their Quesadilla... The service has greatly improved.

Thank...

My first time visiting here. I ordered a large classic poutine for takeout. Upon first glance the portion is gracious but then again it should be expected when you’re paying $17 for it. I personally felt like they could have done less as far as dressing it. The fries were smothered in sauce and cheese leaving the fries extremely soggy and mashed like potatoes. The gravy itself was super salty. I tried to lessen the salt by adding ketchup but that didn’t help. It just gave it a tangy flavour. Ultimately, the whole thing ended up in the trash. Compared to poutinieries and other shops that offer poutines, I’d give the place a solid 1.5 out of 5. (My rating is solely based off of my order experience. I haven’t tried other menu items. It could have just been a hard miss.) There are washrooms at this location that customers can use, and a good enough seating area. The menu also offer a wide range of options such as pasta, burgers, wings, sea food, house made icecream and more. I don’t believe I’ll be returning but try it out. You might enjoy it.

Mr. Jack's is a relatively new spot opened in deep Etobicoke in a strip mall close to the 427 Burnhamthorpe exit. There are a TON of things on this menu which is positive in one way but also makes me wonder if they are still trying to find their identity (they consider themselves a Canadian kitchen but have a lot of different things in the menu). They have everything from fried chicken burgers to pasta to poutine. Service was exceptional - we went in with a big order and a few accommodations. Buddy at the register was super cool about making those modifications and went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied. We ordered a few burgers, both chicken and beef, a poutine, some onion rings and jerk chicken wings. I thought their standard beef burgers were the best tasting out of all that variety and would certainly recommend those to anyone looking for a good burger in deep Etobicoke. If you're feeling adventurous, try one of the many other options on the menu, but I'd say Jack's should specialize on what they do best!

TL;DR Burger with decent flavor, good hotdog-stand-style pickles, sparse fresh red onions, okay onion ring, thin 1/4-inch meat; Greek poutine lacks flavor, overly onion-heavy, bland white sauce, soggy undercooked fries, but decent chicken flavor and texture. Food: - Burger. The flavour is decent. Pickles are good, like hot-dog stand pickles. Red onions were fresh but not enough. Onion ring was okay. Meat was 1/4 of an inch - The greek poutine sucks. No flavour. Way too much onions. The white sauce had no flavour. Tries were soggy and no real texture or crisp. The chicken was decent though, decent flavour and texture. Fries seem under cooked
