Fullaluv Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Toronto

The food is great but sadly that’s not enough to have a great restaurant, I called to inquire about my order as I’m accustomed to receiving calls when my order is ready and I was met with a disrespectful attitude. I asked for the young woman I placed my order from And was told she was gone. I decided to head straight there and upon arriving found the very same young woman that I was told was gone at the counter. To then be informed by her, that only orders that are considered expensive receive calls. In customer service all purchases are of value. I spend a minimum of $75 to $140 when I order food from fullaluv, Its a choice to spend money on dining out especially in this economy. This should have been a peaceful and fun experience but my experience at fullaluv was horrible the way I was treated was unacceptable, being disrespected in that manner is nasty work. The worst part is I had my girlfriend with me and that was her first impression she got being at fullaluv restaurant and she told me straight up do not take the food she honestly felt bad for me. Before I had the chance to decide whether I wanted to continue with the transaction, in their continued disrespect the owner came and took the food away from the counter. All we wanted was a simple apology and accountability for the lack of customer service. Honestly how are you going to expect me to be happy to give my hard earned money to a restaurant that’s disrespecting me and my partner. Today for the first time I decided to try this place for dinner. I ordered 2 fry chicken with rice n peas with macaroni salad. And a small Mac n cheese on the side. It came to about $47. I then bought 2 D&G soda and a piece of corn bread for $8.50. So almost $60 for just 2 meals. The food was so disappointing. The size of the meals were so small and we only got 2 small pieces of fry chicken. Small portion of rice. We also asked for macaroni salad but was given coleslaw instead. The chicken was stale and the rice n peas was soft. Corn bread was stale and the worse of all was the Mac n cheese. Never again will I buy food at Fullaluv. Located at Jane and Lawrence this is a restaurant with Caribbean inspired dishes. My daughter really wanted to try this dish. She ordered Honey Garlic wings with their infamous macaroni and cheese and it is served with fresh cornbread. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal. It was made fresh. Wait time was approx 15-20 minutes. Lots of different options for wing flavors and majority of dishes are served with mac & cheese. On occasion they make rice and peas. Tacos and shrimp available!
