I was in town shopping and found this place on Uber eats they had some taco platter it's like 15 tacos for 65 bucks it's an amazing deal and the quality of the food was top tier I would not really expect it from how small the kitchen was but when I walked in and saw I was like damn this food is going to be so good. The tacos in question were three fish tacos, three shrimp tacos, three beef tacos, three veggie tacos, and three chicken tacos.
My only complaint would be that the Uber eats app itself as I did just want tacos and at first I didn't want 15 but as I was trying to go through different apps to see if I can actually select just individual tacos I gave up and just started that and I was not disappointed at all.
All right so on to the food itself. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious I don't know what it was it was a combination of the sauce the beer batter use the coleslaw and lettuce it just came together perfectly and The batter wasn't too thick it was very light and crispy. I don't know what the sauce was it was kind of tangy I would say maybe a tartar sauce mixed with honey or maybe balsamic vinegar or something there was sweet and tart very nice. And I have to mention the portion size two of these tacos alone would be enough to fill someone the portion size of the fish itself was way above my expectations and the flaky juiciness of the fish was next level. The shrimp tacos damn those were my favorite by far had this very creamy spicy type of aioli sauce that had a very light hint of like a nutty taste to it. The shrimp itself like the fish very lightly battered it was crispy and flaky and just perfect. The size of the shrimp was amazing I was not expecting them to be that big. The beef tacos were pretty simple your regular ground beef mix seasoning toppings like onions and tomatoes with lettuce and jalapenos very simple and again I have to mention the portion size was just perfect they were absolutely stuffed it was more like a half quesadilla. The veggie tacos for what they were were very nicely done similar toppings to the beef tacos with the addition of peas and corn. There's a very light sort of salsa sauce added to it that I gave it a very sweet almost fruity taste that was very enjoyable. The chicken tacos the meat oh my God the portion sizes I have to say the portion sizes again are amazing!!! The chicken was super juicy and just fell apart as you ate it like this was a Divine meal.
All in all I would highly recommend and definitely going to order next time I'm in town. I would be remiss and not mentioning that they have in my opinion an amazing wing deal half price on Mondays and Wednesdays I believe. I highly look forward to going back and eating there again and those fish and shrimp tacos will haunt my dreams until the day I die.
My only disappointment was not being able to get pictures simply do cuz I picked it up and we had to go and we're...
Read moreMy first time here, and unfortunately, it was the worst experience. I chose this place because a friend recommended it for a casual meeting. The day was nice but cold; however, inside the bar was freezing cold all the time.
Prices were normal for a Bar & Grill. However, the reason I am making this review is because of this awful experience during our dining. My friend asked for the soda options, and the lady gave us two choices: a can or direct from the machine (both the same price, around $3.75, with no refill). We chose a can.
I was facing the entrance, but my friend had a view of the whole bar and saw how the lady opened the cans (we didn’t ask for that) and poured the drink into two glasses full of ice. She filled up one glass and half of the other with just one can. When she opened the second can, she only poured a little and kept the other (almost full) can of soda for herself!
When she brought the drinks to the table, my friend asked her (in a funny way) if that was all the drink. She got nervous and said, “yes, this is from the can, not the machine, blah, blah,” and left. After that, everything was uncomfortable, but being an introvert and tired, we decided not to complain and just eat. At some point, she asked if we wanted a soda refill, and my friend thought, ‘Oh, maybe she is going to give us the rest of the drink,’ but she said, "This is extra, not free."
When we asked for the bill, we requested separate bills (one drink each and shared food). She tried to make us pay for one plate each. When we said no, it took her 8 minutes to do the math and bring us back the machine to pay. While my friend was paying, she left for another 8 minutes, so I ended up adding my share myself in the machine and leaving. (At this point I was considering not to pay, but I am not that kind of person)
I feel this is the worst experience I have ever had. The place was empty when we arrived, so there was no excuse for all this. She was just talking with a guy while the kitchen guy was always working.
I’m not coming back and I’m going to look for a refund, sorry...
Read moreAlright. As a service industry professional, my experience here really frustrated me. To start, my party of 3 came in on a slow Wednesday night. We were one of three tables, with one person sitting at the bar. When we came in, both the server and the cook were leaning on the bar on their phones. Fine, it's a slow night, maybe all side duties were done. But after waiting a moment I had to greet them myself, and ask if we were okay to seat ourselves. No one said anything, both just looked up, so we grabbed a booth. Our server came over shortly after and gave us menus. We placed our order and my drink was dropped off. After some time, the drink was finished, and I ended up needing to go to the bar to order it myself because our table was not checked on. The second drink was dropped off in a reasonable time frame, but the food took a long time (30+ minutes) despite us being one of two tables with food. One item was, I assume, rung in as an appetizer, but it was meant to come with the rest as it was for one person, who clarified that upon ordering. The first dish also sat in the window and was cold upon arrival. The server was distracted by her phone and what I assume was a friend at the bar. After 40 minutes or so, the rest of the food came. The food was tasty and the portions were generous, but again, there were no checks, and we had to ask again for a replenishment of condiments. Waters were not refilled once finished. Our experience was soured by the lack of attentiveness from our server and we left disappointed and frustrated.
Overall, the food was good, but the service was incredibly lacking and we don't plan to come back, despite living locally and having visited before. We may order takeout in the future but don't look forward to another dine-in after...
