Highland Yacht Club — Restaurant in Toronto

I can't say enough wonderful things about this yacht club! For starters, they have 10 dedicated visitor docks each at the ends of their docks. This makes docking accessing the club so much easier than most clubs we visited! There is a designated officer of the day available to greet you and help you sign in. The clubhouse and grounds are beautiful, clean and have many amenities including an open kitchen, bar, meeting rooms, tons of seating indoors and outdoors on grounds and on terraces, tons of bbqs to use, great paths to walk and bike ride on, clean washrooms and showers. The Bluffs offer a tranquil backdrop...a boaters paradise! The members that we encountered were friendly and welcoming. It was very clear to us that this club prides itself on being welcoming to all members and visitors. The communal kitchen had everything you would ever need to prepare meals, right down to offering you the opportunity to help yourself to the herbs from the herb garden. I can't beleive it took me this long to find Highland Yacht Club - a gem in the GTA - this club is amazing with great facilities, beautiful scenery with the Scarborough Bluffs as a background, and friendly knowledgeable members willing to help at the drop of a hat - all at a yearly price that is more than half what I was paying before. Downside? No restaurant, but we can use the one next door - Upside - everything else at a bargain price - A great place to sail without the snooty price tag - how do they do it? All in, I think my 30 ft. sailboat will cost around $1300 this year for winter storage, cranes and summer dock!!! Find out and join HIGHLAND YACHT...

I have been a member of Highland Yacht Club for quite a few years now. I have met so many wonderful people through the club and have made many of what I am sure are going to be lifelong friendships. The culture is one of friendly, helpful people who just want to share the joy of yachting and of the outdoors. The facilities are beautiful and practical, with everything you need for affordable, self-help boating. While I no longer live in Canada, I maintain my membership because this club occupies such a big chunk...
