Jamaica House — Restaurant in Toronto

I'm honestly just sick and tired of these restaurants not taking any care into preparing there meals. Today I ordered a large curry goat w/ white rice, sat in my car to eat as I was just coming from work STARVING only to find a piece of plastic in between the curry goat. I went inside pleasantly to let them know and this is the exact response I recieved "it nah guh do you nuttin man ah jus plastic, if it was something else then ok but ah just plastic man". Then they continued to tell me that it was normal to find that in the food. So you mean to tell me they cooked that curry goat with the plastic and let all the chemicals marinate in the food, and that's supposed to be normal? Didn't even offer a sincere apology or a partial refund....

There’s no point in paying $12 for a large & $10 for a small when the containers both sizes hold the same amount of food. I realize you can’t call and place an order for pick up cause customers service sucks on that stand point your food wouldn’t be ready specially if you just told them you’re around the corner. I order a meal and thought it was fresh food I was receiving when they ran out of rice and didn’t even think to ask if you would rather something else due to re-warm day old rice it ended up running my stomach for the rest of the day. Walking in at first was definitely a surprise as the place was a bit run-down. Water was dripping from the ceiling making puddles and rugs wet, and the door was frozen from the inside with ice. Pressing forward to the front we see that the menu doesnt have much variety. I ordered the fried chicken and my mom ordered two soups.

Upon receiving the soup we all realized that it was a lumpy, porridge-like texture with mushy ingredients, watered-down and all. I, however enjoyed my chicken (they gave me oxtail gravy without me asking 😊😊) . But when it came to requesting a refund for the soup it was if we were ignored until the realized we werent leaving.
