not so nice customer service visit on Thursday July 19, 2018 between 13:30 and 14:00 EST ran out of BBQ chicken, ran out of cha siu (bbq) pork, ran out of red sausage, no more soft drinks ran out of soy beverage portioning of price paid, fair ordered 2 bbq item (soy sauce chicken and roasted pork) with rice for $5.00, tax seems to be included or left out..since I paid $5 flat.

Based on the time I visited to fill my bbq meat craving, they seem to have run out of a lot of the bbq meat offerings. Now I am uncertain if they replenish their bbq meat offerings later in the afternoon or if it is just the one batch for the entire day until they run out.
I think if you want to have a better selection of the bbq meats, you might have to show up before lunch time (12 noon). One time my wife and I tried stopping here after I had picked her up from work (6pm) and they were completely out of all bbq meat offerings..so we ended up with sweet and sour pork take out for $4.99.
Service : don't expect great service here, also staff English speaking skills are a little lacking. The counter staff is kinda on the rude side as well, so be careful.
Food : Wife and I enjoyed the roast pork (tender meat, skin still semi-crispy even after 4-5 hours), soy sauce chicken was kinda “normal” as everywhere else. Still looking forward to try their cha siu (bbq) pork. Have to try and get to Kong Kee before 12pm sometime in the near future.
Value for money spent : For $5.00 and for what you get is fair. Not quite enough for sharing between my wife and myself, good portioning for the rice. If you are looking for a larger portion of protein offering head to Ho Ho Bbq 2-3 doors down. Larger portioning for 2 item bbq + rice & some veggie for $7.00. Still 2 of the better deals around for under $10.00 pre-tax.

Read moreI’d advise anyone looking for Chinese bbq to stay away from here. It’s not worth trying for a few reasons. The BBQ pork (cha siu) is extremely dry without flavour and the roast pork (siu yook) is not crispy at all. What’s worse is that the owner/employees there are extremely rude to the extent that they were yelling at my mother and I in Cantonese when we were simply trying to order. We walked in, hoping to try their selection of items and so we asked for the choice of 4 meats with rice. When we let the owner know, he started grumbling saying why do we need so much food? Who does that?? We decided to ignore his comments and proceeded to ask if we could have bbq pork, roast pork, chicken and duck. He then started getting even angrier and said that we couldn’t choose any of them and he’d just make us a plate of items and we would have to eat it. It was absolutely unnecessary and I’d highly recommend anyone wanting BBQ pork or Chinese bbq to try any other place in this plaza to be honest. Save yourself the time, trouble and effort. Absolutely embarrassing show...
Read moreUnfortunately, we really enjoyed the BBQ here. I wish we didn’t because the owners are clearly scammers and try to take advantage of their customers so I won’t be going back. Today I ordered 1 lb BBQ pork and 1/2 lb roasted pork and she tried to charge me $43. I obviously questioned this and they tried to double down and say “it’s for your whole order” So I responded there was zero chance that this costs $43. When it was obvious I was not falling for it they tried to play it off and all of a sudden was surprised and said “oh you don’t want duck” “no, I didn’t ask for duck” I never mentioned duck, there was no duck cut for or in process of being cut for me. Then she says oh ok $23. Which still ends up being a rip off because when I got home I weighed my meat and even with the weight of the container it was...
