Rudest waiter ever. Just spent $30 on take out. I told one server that I was going to eat a bit of my salad as I waited for the chef to make my roll. He didn’t say anything. I needed to take a quick bite bc I’m hypoglycaemic and wasn’t feeling well. The other waiter told me that I wasn’t allowed to eat my take out at the table. Dude, why so super petty??? There was nobody in the restaurant and you only have 5 tables to serve people. It’s 2 hours after lunch and there was one other customer. I’d understand if it was busy but it was just me and one other person in there! PS- just saw the reply from the owner. No, he did not say ‘for next time’, he said that I wasn’t allowed to eat my take out at the table and he was very direct about it so I got up immediately. By the way, let me educate you about hypoglycaemia- when we are in the throes of our medical situation, we don’t have the energy to have a conversation. Just an FYI. And no I wasn’t angry, just not feeling well and had to get out of there so I could eat somewhere else and not pass out. I’m a local and I definately won’t be...
Read moreI don't normally leave reviews but my family and I had a very unpleasant experience here. We are darker skinned and the moment we walked in we were treated very poorly by the older woman working at the front. She then told us to wait outside of the restaurant for our food, something I've never heard of. There was a guy with a lighter complexion who was allowed to wait inside for his food, but they demanded us to wait outside despite simply ordering our food, and being polite. Based on some other reviews clearly I'm not the only one that's had this experience. So read into this comment what you will. Toronto is a diverse city and if you have a business here you should embrace serving customers of all backgrounds
Edit: It was quite obvious to the other customer that something was wrong with your behavior. Please improve your customer service and communication skills. As a business you should treat customers with more respect. I've already shared my...
Read moreHad the chicken teriyaki and crunchy roll (for takeout). To start off, the restaurant is small but cute. Decorated very tastefully, nice and bright. It felt almost like you entered someone’s home… and the service was amazing. Very polite and helpful. The portion size is beyond what I expected. For $20 I got 2 sections of chicken (I had already eaten one in the photo lol), with the chicken cooked perfectly (not dried out like I usually find at some sushi places). The teriyaki sauce was absolutely delicious. On top of getting the rice, soup and salad with it… I could have shared this with another if I wanted a lighter lunch (it had that much protein). Green salad dressing was perfect (always a fav of mine and they nailed it, so simple but so yummy!). The roll was amazingly balanced. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Officially my favorite sushi place in Etobicoke/Mimico. Can’t wait to...
