I was wandering the streets of Corso Italia for some breakfast and coffee. Coming from Mexico recently, I was in the mood for some good coffee. Luckily, I saw the sign for Lion Coffee and had never seen this place before. First impression? That's cool, it's just hidden enough that you feel like you've discovered a little gem. But it's just close enough to the main road that you can still see if it's too busy inside before getting to it. It was just the right amount of busy to give me the confidence to walk in and walk out in case it wasn't the vibe. I look at the menu, it's simple. Just how I like things, especially this early in the morning. The barista, Mitch, was nice enough to acknowledge me and give me the time I needed to make a decision. Actually, I didn't make a decision right away, because I'm new to the coffee universe or at least an amateur, I had to ask for some help differentiating slow drip vs. pour overs. Anyway, he gave me information, and then gave me some simple context for the various pour over roasts that he had. I selected Gesha which he explained had notes of pineapple. He was right. Coffee was very good, and very clean, (no grains at all!). I'm glad I stepped into this shop today and will definitely be back for more. P.s. The classic 512 sandwhich was perfect. An idea? If someone wants it grilled, you should ask them if they want it on the tracks.

Nestled on a quiet corner just off the main intersection of Dufferin and St. Clair W, you will find the cozy and warm Lion Coffee! Lion Coffee offers a variety of classic coffee and beverage options with some quick bites as well! My go to order is the hot chai latte, and I am not exaggerating when I say its the best chai I have ever had! The chai concentrate is made in house and it is a perfect blend of sweetness and spice that exudes authentic flavours. Their signature sandwiches, the Spinach Fetty and 512 Classic are delicious, I really can't get enough. Outdoor and indoor seating make this a great place to get lost in some work or a novel for a couple of hours while enjoying a beverage of your liking. Hazel and Mitch are truly devoted to their craft, you can taste the love and passion that goes into every cup! I cannot recommend Lion Coffee highly enough!

A true gem in the city. If you haven’t been, you’re seriously missing out. The owners and staff are some of the warmest, kindest people you’ll ever meet — their hospitality is unmatched. The coffee? Absolutely incredible. Every cup is made with care and consistency. The rotating art on the walls adds a creative, personal touch, and the food is next level — fresh, thoughtful, and full of flavour. This place isn’t just a coffee shop; it’s a community hub, and it should be at the top of everyone’s list.

Tasteful coffee with variety of flavours to choose from different countries. Cappuccino, latte, espresso they're all very good. Try their 512 Classic sandwich its delicious! A fabulous place with contemporary setting and Wi-fi available. Simply unwind and enjoy their coffee and light snacks such as muffins, (glutten free available) cookies and croissants. Patio seating. Owners; Mitchell and Hazel are very friendly. Free parking on street. During summer enjoy their refreshing drink like Lichee...
