Those who knew the old family run Big Slice that formerly lived here will know and miss it ...
Having said that, True History Brewing is a breath of fresh air on an otherwise tired strip of old St Clair. With a beautiful, simply appointed bar/front room and sliding glass garage doors opening onto a shaded patio with new cedar fencing and lots of greenery, it's a lovely spot to have a rest and enjoy and frosty beverage straight from the house tap. My favorite wheat beer to date exists only on tap here, ‘there’s always money in the banana stand’ comparable to sidelaunch wheat but if sidelaunch wheat were to have birthed baby Jesus in beer form. That’s THB for you, I have been spoiled with their standards. They’re also extremely humble and they treat you like the neighbours you wish were your actual neighbours who live next door. There’s trivia nights on recent Tuesdays...
