We were really excited to try their food cause of such good reviews but unfortunately the whole family was extremely disappointed. We were waiting for another family to arrive and we sat there at the table for good half an hr and I was surprised that we weren't even offered a glass of water. Atleast ask your customer if they would like to order appetizers while they are waiting. If the customer doesn't want to order anything, they will let you know but asking shows your hospitality. I had to call the server and ask him to plz atleast bring water.
Restaurant is beautiful but too loud. We were sitting at one table and couldn't understand a word across from eachother. Music should be soft and volume should be low so atleast people can chat with eachother. Plus we won't have to shout to speak with eachother that caused people to speak louder and it was just loud and kind of uncomfortable sitting there. Table height doesn't match the booth/sofa height. Half of us were sitting on sofa side and half on chairs across from eachother. Chairs were fine but sofas were too low which made it harder to eat.
Then time to order ...the server was so busy looking towards the entrance that he didn't really understood what we were ordering. I had to repeat each time I was ordering every single dish, asking him "did you get that" and his response was " o you want that" . I was about to walk out of there right away but we all were really hungry, my husband said we should wait here now rather than finding a new restaurant which will take longer.
Then another server approached us( he was really nice btw) told us about the 20% gratuity since we were more than 4 people. I thought it was alot but I was glad that he atleast mentioned it before.
Food was served and looked beautiful..BUT WAS COLD....the whole platter of 4 was cold...Pidy was cold, fries were not cooked properly and not crunchy at all...NO TASTE, DRY, AND COLD, hard to chew...I was so furious...but my kids were so hungry they just started eating...but me and my husband barely touched it. We did notify the server and affcourse they apologized but didn't really do anything about it. We packed almost the whole platter.
They did served the complimentary tea but the tea doesn't compensate the ignorant initial service and the cold $300 meal per family.
Overall.... Really bad experience. Will never go again and I do not recommend it. Honestly, if you want good turkish food (Im not advertising for anyone) go...
Read moreBecause my friend had seen an ad for this restaurant, we decided to go have dinner there. It’s located next to a big Dollarama store. I expected a Turkish ambiance, but the interior design didn’t clearly reflect any particular theme. Although the space was fairly large with big windows, the view wasn’t pleasant — you’re basically facing a parking lot and nearby streets. The interior gave off no particular vibe. It was clean, but the design felt off — as if they were trying to mix a modern and luxury feel but didn’t quite succeed in either.
The only thing that reminded you this was a Turkish restaurant was the Turkish music playing in the background. The server who took our order was polite and well-dressed, but the rest of the staff were constantly walking around, which didn’t let you fully relax — and they all seemed to be from different cultural backgrounds, which added to the disjointed feel.
We ordered hummus as a starter, which was decent and went well with the warm bread it came with, but it wasn’t particularly flavorful. We had two kebabs: one was eggplant kebab, the other lamb chops, just like the photo on their menu. Each came with a bit of lettuce salad, red cabbage (which is common in basic restaurants), and sliced onions. Both dishes were served similarly. A small portion of reddish-orange rice came with the meat.
We ate everything — it was fine, but nothing memorable. It wasn’t the kind of food you’d crave later or return for. A good dish should leave a lasting impression — maybe the tenderness or flavor of the meat, or a special dressing on a fresh salad — but this meal left no such memory. Maybe my expectations were too high.
For the two main dishes and the hummus, plus a $15 tip, the total was $96. There’s plenty of parking available right in front of...
Read moreHands down one of the best meals I’ve had in my life.
Where do I even begin? The restaurant was clean, modern, and beautifully decorated - lots of window allowing natural sunlight.
The staff? Absolute gems. Some of the nicest people I’ve met, and the service & hospitality are unmatched.
The food? Amazing. My girlfriend and I ordered quite a bit of food:
Adana Kebab: honestly one of the best mouthfuls of food you’ll ever eat. Well seasoned, juicy and succulent meat, paired with the rice and the condiments (onions, pickled cabbage, tomatoes, etc)… flavour explosion. You get all the flavours and texture that you’d want in a bite - salty, savoury, sweet, refreshing, crunchy.
Mixed Pide: cheesy, meaty goodness can also be topped with their condiments make for a tasty flatbread.
Baba Ganoush: fresh with chunks of eggplants and some olive oil was honestly some of the best I’ve had. This is my first encounter with chunks of eggplants, and i was not mad at all.
Yari Citir/Billuriye: half dish of cheesy kunafa, and half billuriye. What an amazing dessert to finish off a meal. Sweet delicate mixed with a mad cheese pull? Not too sweet, perfect texture.
The waitress that served us was amazing as well. She gave us tips on how to eat certain dishes/items, was very friendly and offered us recommendations. She even brought out small samples of hummus and the spicy dip for our complementary bread - absolutely amazing.
10/10 meal - will definitely come back. You guys knocked it out...
