The McDonald's 1045 Pape Avenue has its ups and downs, which I give it 3 stars. Not to be rude, I think the management should do something about the elderly; they take up the space and spend more than the 30 minute socialising limit; they at least spend hours upon hours upon hours (a minimum of at least 3 to 4 hours) socialising and staring at customers and talking bad about them in Greek. The worst of it all, there are some elderly men that stare at young boys and girls that I find disturbing.
Management wise: Not so great; they could care less and seem to be scared of telling the loud and obnoxious teenagers to either tone it down and relax or to get out; however, there is actually one manager that I think cares about her role and serving and helping customers and is not afraid of teenagers.
Food wise: But of course McDonald's is unhealthy; however, eating it every now and then is, to me, okay. Thus far, I have yet to complain about the food and the service and the time it takes for me to be served. The food has thus far been well prepared and warm for me. Sometimes I have to wait several minutes or so to eat because it can be a little too hot, which is fine and dandy for me. The service has thus far been good to me; the employees take the time to explain and answer questions, even when it is busy; they make sure the customer receives his or her food. If the customer is not around to get his or her food, they will keep it in a safe place until the customer comes to get it, which they once did for me. The wait for the food has thus far been quick for me, even when there are a lot of customers.
Kiosk wise: This is a great feature that has one downside to it. I use the kiosk most of the time every time I eat or takeout at McDonald's 1045 Pape Avenue. The only time I do not use it is whenever I redeem or use coupos because the kiosk gives me trouble each time I try to use both. I am not the only one to be having trouble because I have seen customers also having trouble. Some of the employees direct the customers and I to the counter because even they cannot figure out the troubleshoot. The kiosk needs to improve when it comes to redeeming and using coupons. Other than that, the kiosk is a great feature.
Wheelchair accessibility wise: Very poor. Customers that are new to McDonald's 1045 Pape Avenue or that go there once in a blue moon are unaware that McDonald's 1045 Pape Avenue has wheelchair accessibility; it is located at the back, adjacent to the drivethrough. The main entrance does not have one, which makes it difficult for those that use a wheelchair or walker, or crutuches, or parents and nannies with a stroller, having a difficult time entering and exiting through the main entrance. Plus, the bloody doors close very quickly rather than closing slowly or holding still.
Cleaning wise: It has its ups and downs. McDonald's 1045 Pape Avenue is very busy, even at night, and sometimes late at night, which can be difficult to always keep it clean. The Portuguese, Filipinos, and South Americans (omitting Brazilians; I am only kidding!) are known in this world for being the most trusted cleaners. There is a young Filipino cleaner who is mostly on the top of things when it comes to cleaning and replenishing; he has a keen eye for cleaning and replenishing. One does not need to tell him that there is a dirty table, or a spill, or that an area needs to be cleaned and replenished, because he knows when it does and does not need cleaning and replenishing; it is as if he has some kind of microchip placed in his brain notifying him of what needs to be cleaned and replenished. Whenever I see McDonald's 1045 Pape Avenue cleaned and replenished, he is on duty. If I do not, he is either on break...

Yet another edit for this location. I go in person to order 2 McRib sandwiches because they just came back in stock after so many years, I get home, I look at the order number on my receipt and it matches the one on the bag… and I find 2 grilled chicken sandwiches.
I have an edit to my original review. Since I began quarantine On March 18th, I’ve ordered from this location on Uber eats a total of 6 times, and between those 6 times, they have forgotten a total of 15 items in my orders. As in, they’ve completely forgot to give me stuff I paid for. This isn’t a matter of sauce or additions or substitutions, THEY HAVE LEFT OUT ENTIRE MEALS FROM MY ORDERS. They literally sent my family an order that was supposed to include 8 burgers and only gave us 3! How do you leave out 5 whole burgers??? This location is a joke.
I have lived in this area my entire life and over the last few years this location has gone down hill. It's bad enough that it's filled with loud children and elderly people at all hours of the day, that sucks but I can deal with it. What is not acceptable though is that the store is disgusting, the employees just don't care, and I have not received a single order from this location without complication in the last 5 years. They either forget an item, incorrectly prepare items, or take more than 20 minutes to prepare your order, after 15 minutes of waiting. Last year I went in at 4am on my way to work, it took them 23 minutes to give me my coffee even though they had one other order they were preparing an no other customers in the store. I was watching the whole time to see if they were brewing new coffee and no, in fact it was old coffee that they made me wait 23 minutes to receive. I do not understand how or why it took them 23 minutes to get me my coffee or why it took over 30 minutes to prepare a filet-o-fish for the customer ahead of me. Only a few examples but this has happened consistently for years now. They need to do a complete overhaul of the staff at...
Read moreI went to this store months ago on a late Monday to get food after working late and very far from home, and the staff (supervisor I believe) was extremely rude to me unnecessarily and seemed to be almost gaslighting me about a mistake they made. Their machine was not working and they weren't able to take my order, blank screen and no sound, so I drove up to the window eventually and she made up a story that it was my fault and then refused to take my order and took the side of some unknown coworker she strangely referred to as "the kid". Said "The kid asked for your order and you drove away", "The kid told me", etc. Never happened, I explained to her as I waited and was calling "Hello?" to the machine which appeared broken. She was harsh to me about it even after I kindly apologized and said there must be a mistake as I had my window down and was trying. I felt like I was being treated like some drunk nuisance, when I was just hungry after work needing to still drive 2 hours to get home, past midnight.
Just asked if I could order my food, and she ordered me to go park and go inside because she rather handle the customers behind me (already targetting me as being at fault somehow and giving me dirty looks). I did so, and waited a long time (busy night) for a very stale unenjoyable meal ontop of it all.
I was really upset by this incident that never normally happens to me so I tried to call a manager the next day but I never received a call back. It still upsets me whenever I think about going to a...
