What happened, Sushi Delight? Long time customer here, both in-house and for delivery. Today I have ordered food for delivery for the last time. I ordered from Just Eat off the web and I did not receive an e-mail for confirmation. Just Eat called me and explained that Sushi Delight cancelled the order because they were behind, but I could still reorder, adding that the restaurant will have my delivery to me before 6:30. So, I reordered and waited. At 6:37 I gave Just Eat a call and explained that we are now approuching 6:40 and I still don't have my delivery. Just Eat made a quick call to Sushi Delight, and got back to me with the typical "the driver is on their way".
Alas, this incident is not the only reason I will not be ordering delivery anymore nor why I am writing this review. This is not the first time I have received dissatisfying service. I am not sure what has changed in the last 5-6 months at Sushi Delight, because it hasn't always been like this, but something has certainly changed. There has been sauce/food missing from orders, over an hour lateness, and only once have I actually had a manager rectify an issue I have had(a free bento box of the original order I made for delivery due to half of the order missing).
It never used to be like this! I can remember a time when my order would get here in much less than I expected, when the food was still hot and never missing an item(or two). So, I ask again, what happened Sushi Delight?

In April, I googled “best sushi restaurant near me”. Sushi Bistro had raving reviews so I gave it a try. I ordered a Deluxe Makimono Party Tray online and ended up getting the Classic Makimono Party Tray (6 less pieces and not what I was craving). I was charged the correct amount. In May, I ordered the Deluxe tray again and picked up the correct tray. Delicious! Today, I ordered a Small Special Roll Party Tray for a picnic at a park and realized it was the wrong order at the park. I got a small sushi party tray (9 pieces less). I was charged the correct amount. This was very disappointing as we only got to eat about 7 pieces of sushi for lunch and they were not the special rolls. I just called Sushi Bistro to let them know what happened, that it’s happened twice, and perhaps it may be an issue with the system (not them). The staff member on the phone kept repeating that it was the order they received and it’s the first time there’s been a problem. I told her it’s happened twice to me. She sounded irritated but did not acknowledge my concern. It felt completely brushed off. She said she’d check with the manager about online problems (I thought there weren’t any?). Read moreWe ordered on skip the dishes for pick-up from this place last night. I only went through the app because they weren’t answering their phone. We came back to the restaurant when it said our order was ready and waited outside for over an hour. They are so disorganized. Drivers from all the apps received notifications their orders were to be picked up but no one’s orders were ready. They had food ready in piles but only one person could go in and ask if their orders were ready. When you went up to ask them there would be 3 or 4 people running around doing tasks... but they would ignore you. Someone would come look at your order number then walk off and someone else would come look at your order number. All the while people outside would be yelling at you to leave if your order wasn’t ready yet so someone else could ask and yet we hadn’t actually found out about our order. She at one point told us 5 minutes and it would be ready...... 30 minutes later it was. I would not have been as frustrated if they were just honest and told us it would take an hour.
