Read more(11/05/2023): A quintessential Toronto staple that you must visit if you haven't already! With its iconic view of the city, it is truly a treat to watch the sunset and the city skyline illuminate as the night draws near! As a business student, it's fun to point out buildings in the Financial District like the buildings for BMO, EY, and TD - among others.
I would caution first time goers to bring comfortable shoes - there is a steep incline that, if not careful, could cause someone to fall and roll over - while I haven't seen that happen, it certainly feels like you could if you weren't paying attention. I would suggest walking slowly down along the incline - moreover, I would suggest bringing a blanket to sit on, if you do have reservations sitting on the grass. There is a lot of loose dusty dirt, so keep that in consideration.
I brought a plastic woven mat to sit on, but I would suggest a fabric blanket or canvas to sit on because the incline meant that I would slip on the mat. There are a lot of food options available, with a Pizza Pizza, NoFrills, Chatime and many other places available for consumption. If you're willing to walk 20~ minutes, there is also a Dairy Queen, where you can get an iconic blizzard or cone, but be wary that with rising temperatures it will melt by the time you walk to the park.
There are a lot of people at the park, so it can be difficult to find good/decent seating. Like any park in/near downtown, there is the lingering stench of weed, so if you don't mind that, you should be good! Be aware that there will also be a lot of young teens/adults or people in general taking photos/videos, which may come across as obnoxious to some, but I think it's nice - though it may disrupt your view at times. Expect that you may be asked to take a group photo, so be careful when shuffling around or you may lose your balance.
With a convenient location close to Broadview Station, I would recommend taking public transport as parking can be difficult to find. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the park, whether you come by yourself, with friends, or family, you will have a good time watching the view of the city.
Fun addendum: In the photos attached, you can see that there was a film crew! What for, I'm not sure, but I imagine it was either an...

I will go there and enjoy the ultimate down-town-Toronto-skyline view, play sports, and sit and socialize. it is situated on Broad-view Street, and it is part of River-dale park. It is profoundly popular, especially for soccer players and baseball players, to play on and visualize playing on. It is a place for anyone to be physically active and show their positive aspect of sportsmanship. Simultaneously, you can take pictures of scenes of skyscrapers and common spaces that are mesmerizing and powerful.
