Mr. Souvlaki — Restaurant in Toronto

2024 Sept. - First of all, the food is 10 out of 10 perfection and delicious. And always hot. We get take-out here all the time and they have never let me down. The food is consistently fantastic. I highly recommend them to anybody in the neighborhood here.

When you get your chicken slovakia, we always spend extra to get double chicken. It's totally worthwhile. One takeout container with double chicken can feed two lady light eaters no problem.

I almost start laughing sometimes I'm so happy to be eating their delicious dinners.

I must warn you if you get there too close to closing time, you may find out that they are sold out. This is a very popular takeout place.

There are tables here but I wouldn't eat here, too tight space. But at least there is a large window but unfortunately it's just looking out over a parking lot. If you have to eat it right away I would get take out and go to the Mall food court and find a table there to eat at.

I'm always running into people in the line who obviously go there on the same day every week. They literally come here every week to order food. Every week! That's a bit much imho

Secondly, the staff here are absolutely phenomenal. They are efficient, they understand me. I understand them, they are highly intelligent and move carefully but speedily. I feel like I only see ladies working here. Please bring your extra coins to throw into their tip jar. I'm telling you they earn every penny here.

If I could leave a half of a star review, I would. I was standing in line with two other people outside (as per COVID-19 policies), and they were out of rice in the store. Because the two ladies ahead of me were waiting for more rice, I asked and they told me that I could go ahead of them. I went into the store, and the first thing that one of the sales people told me is that there are other people ahead of me in line and did I know that. Not hello, not how are you, but a reprimand - as if I needed one. I proceeded to tell them that if they were watching, they would have noticed that I asked these two ladies if I could go ahead only because I didn’t need rice and wanted to buy something else, so I wasn’t holding anyone up or jumping ahead of anyone. In addition, I ordered two potato dishes, and after 5 minutes, they decided there wasn’t enough for two orders since they were making other orders. This was at 12pm, by the way, the middle of lunch. After that, the whole experience was just tainted. Serious incompetence on their part. The potatoes were very dry. Mr. Greek food is much better, by comparison....

Was planning all week to treat myself to a single plate dinner on Friday from this location. What a waste of time. 1st I was standing in line for quite a bit while 4 staff, were talking (not in English) with their back to me, ignoring there customer. After I was barked at, what do you want, I ordered and watched as they tried to serve me lettuce was swimming in water and looked overly wet. I stupidly asked for non swimming lettuce and of course the staff complained, huffed and puffed, so I got sick of their attitudes and I left, and couldn't wait to give this joint a terrible review.

Please don't respond with your standard statement, FIX THE PROBLEM! But I know you won't.
