To be honest, I visited because I saw on a Facebook group that it was a local gem and I was very dissapointed. The pizza was horrible, gummy oven proofed dough, NO sauce, low low quality pepperoni and the mozzarella was so cheap it was like plastic. I expect way better from a local spot especially with such simplistic food like pizza. Definitely not worth it.

We decided to try the place out after hearing about it in a facebook group. We were very disappointed. The pizza barely had any sauce and was chewey. The peperoni was very low quality. Parking was hard to find and they were open for take out only. There was also an uncomfortable amount of christian decor and it smelled of cigarettes. We won't be going back.

I decided to try this place after I heard about it from a co worker , who's family's owns this place . It's not all the hype it's made it out to be !! Needs to have a better selection and a better amount of toppings on the pizza !!!! Would not ever order there again!!! Should have a better selection of different types , like Hawaiin, Canadian, deluxe ect...

Feeling nostalgic, I ordered from Oakwood Pizzeria recently for the first time in ages, and it's not at all like I remember it from my childhood. The crust is still okay, but the toppings have gone downhill.

The pepperoni isn't nearly the same quality for starters; it's not as flavorful and tastes really artificial. The bacon, mushrooms, olives and roasted red peppers on my pizza were all from a jar / can and you could really taste it; they had no freshness to them whatsoever. And the mozzarella cheese tasted really bland and greasy.

Seems there's a reason why their pricing is still "throwback"... they're cutting all sorts of corners. Real shame, because in this age of COVID, with all these restaurants closing down, it was nice to see Oakwood was still around. Sadly, the quality just isn't...

The penne was tasteless, same about the spagetti, the sauce is basic tomato sauce without anything special (or taste) to it, the pizza was edible but really equally boring with the pasta, the double cheese made it manageable though, it's a restaurant but it doesn't sell alcoholic drinks (and there is no indication from outside) and while it's entirely grey and boring it costs as any high above average restaurant.

If you're with kids and you don't mind the most boring pasta of the universe, for a relatively high price, go with it. Otherwise any pizzeria almost stands as a better possibility

Otherwise for the lead I'd recommend improving upon almost every possible aspect of the place.

The interior really nice, like it lacks imagination but it's cute...

Some of the worst pizza I've ever eaten and as a Culinary trained Chef I was very disappointed to say the least when a lady who works there was telling me about how everything is from scratch and freshly made. False advertising. Canned mushrooms and canned olives are not considered fresh toppings. Learn your product before selling it. Customer service is not their strong suit, just as bad as their food. It blows my mind that people are considering this the best pizza in canada. There are so many better pizza joints out there. This place is a hard miss unless you like to overpay for bland, flavorless, pizza, and enjoy waiting an abnormally long amount of time in an establishment that smells of cigarettes. Amazes me that they've been open as long...
