Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Toronto

I’m so glad I stopped by Osmows restaurant this afternoon— I’ve walked past it many times without realizing what I was missing! A big thank you to my friend who recommended it. I can confidently say I’ll be returning and recommending it to others as well.

As a first-time customer (and someone with years of experience in the food service industry), I was genuinely impressed. The restaurant was spotless, the ambiance was welcoming, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The sauces were a standout — especially the garlic and hot sauce!

My 9 year old son truly enjoyed the Dorito shawarma with protein and cheese on top. It was the perfect snack for him after the summer camp

From a food service perspective, I noticed a lot of great things: the team greeted every customer with a warm “Welcome to Osmow’s,” which added a nice personal touch. The service was efficient, and the setup for delivery apps like Uber Eats and DoorDash looked well-managed and organized.

One idea for the future — perhaps consider adding a few impulse items like authentic desserts or specialty drinks. Could be a fun extra for customers with sweet tooth like me!

This review reflects the Osmos location at Victoria park and Sweeny. I have eaten at this location about five times. Customer service at this location is non-existent. When you walk into this location no one will greet you, smile or even make eye contact. After i flag down an employee to take my order I noticed the same rude and surly attitude from the person who prepared my food, I thought it was a bad day so I ate at this restaurant several other times and observe the same type of commitment to nonexistent customer service.

The portion of food you receive at this restaurant is very small compared to other osmos locations I mean very small they cheap out on the rice and meat but load u up with garlic sauce to give your container the effect that there's actually a sizable portion of food inside. The times I have eaten there I have observed dry meat and sometimes burnt meat.

It is a shame that this franchisee is ruining the Osmos name in Scarborough. I no longer eat at this location which is a shame as I work close by. There should be consistency with portion sizes, customer service expectations and quality of food. If I feel like eating osmosis I go to one of several locations in North York and have no issues whatsoever.

Edit: went in November 29th at 9PM and experienced the worst service. A stingy manager who was not down to rectify the issues. The server took our order wrong, my husband had to repeat himself constantly because the server was not able to comprehend the order... when the manager was putting the sauce on our orders, we asked if that’s all he’s putting on because every other time we come in they drown our food in sauce (which is amazing) and he plainly told us we have to ask and pay for more. Then when they realized they had gotten our order wrong they made a fuss, so we simply told them we don’t want to cause any troubles and to just give us the wrong order. They were non-apologetic and condescending. Not fond of the location after this experience.

The food was fantastic. The meat and rice were warm and the veggies were fresh and plentiful. Ordered my regular daily special and my husband got the chicken on salad, and we found that there was far more veggies than usual!

I do think there is some room for improvement. Service was extremely slow because they were short-staffed. Usually doesn’t take us 10+ minutes to get our order! Hopefully they are able to hire and train...
