Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Toronto

Be VERY careful with your credit card here, I’m pretty sure the staff are running a credit card theft scam. We placed an order online and paid for it online, went to the store and the staff told us we have to pay again, went showed the receipt as well as our online credit card banking statement showing the payment transaction, but the staff still said that we have to pay again to him directly in the store on his machine before he’ll give us the pizza. We called the bank and customer service to confirm that the payment did go through, and they verified it. I think the staff are trying to steal extra cash on the side by taking “extra” payments. Very shady practice that he said we had to put our card into his machine in store after we paid online, possible a card skimmer or just taking extra payment?

Don’t go here unless you want your money or credit card stolen. We ended up telling him to just keep the pizza or throw it out since we weren’t going to pay twice for it, and we will dispute it through the credit card because he refused to give it to us without paying him again directly. Corporate should really look into the staff here for possible fraud or embezzlement, definitely something fishy going on. Even after showing him the statement showing the transaction and receipt he still refused to give us the pizza...

I bought a large 3 topping thin crust pizza and the Crispy Cuppy Roni Papa Bites... I open the box to look at the product in the store. the marinara for the bites was half full so I asked them to actually fill it. The bites are about half the size you see in the photos or American reviews and had 1 pepperoni inside and all the cheese popped out the sides. it looks like there should be 3-4 pepperonis inside each bite. Let's talk thin crust pizza..... this is not a hand stretched fresh dough... this is a flatbread cracker from the freezer. EXTREMELY little sauce on the pizza and only 2 pieces of bacon 2-3 mushrooms and 2 pepperonis per slice. an ABSOLUTE RIP OFF for the money. Papa John's should be absolutely ashamed by the experience that I had. This franchise owner is probably extremely cheap and forces employees to short on toppings.

I read the bad reviews and decided I will see for myself as people can be too critical at times.... but let me tell you if you read this review and you are thinking about ordering...

Ordered through Uber Eats. They forgot to give my pizza to the driver, so he only delivered side items. I called them and explained about the situation, and they said they cant do anything about it, but to come pick it up myself. I asked them to cancle the order or call the uber eats about the mistakes they have made and get me a refund, since some reason you cant contact the Uber directly, so I asked the PapaJohns to do it for me. They said they have cancled the order, and should be able to get refund on the item I didnt get. Its been few weeks, I didnt get any contact from Uber and I dont think they contacted the uber eats at all. + I drove there to pick up an order they missed, paid to them to get my order, since they said Uber will refund. So I basically paid like extra 20~30 dollars more for a 30 Dollars pizza. (Uber charges more fee and the item prices are higher, and the money I paid directly to PapaJohns when I went...
