I ordered two pizza’s from this restaurant and only had one slice of each. Within an hour of eating their food I was in the washroom and now almost 3 days later I’m still sick. I went to the doctor and he let me know I have severe food poisoning and that if continues for another 24 hours I will have to go to the hospital and be connected to an IV. I called the restaurant to speak to the owner to let him know the situation, he was extremely rude and told me “you’re not a doctor and food poisoning doesn’t work like that”. Keep in mind it was 5 minutes after leaving a doctors office. Their staff is rude and out to lunch with any common sense. Their food prices are through the roof and not even worth what you receive. Especially if it comes with a permanent residency to the washroom. I will be contacting Ontario public health and reporting their store for health concerns and maybe the person I spoke to can show the public health people his medical degree.
DOOO NOOOOOTTTTT EAT HERE!!!!
UPDATE:
I am now two weeks into my food poisoning. I ended up in the hospital a few nights ago because I’m still unable to keep anything down. I reported the restaurant to Toronto public health and received a call 5 minutes ago letting me know that their restaurant has failed for sanitary reasons. I know my body and I knew something was severely wrong the second I had that pizza. Once again, DO...
Read moreAfter a fantastic concert, My husband, my brother and I decided to satisfy our late-night cravings at Pizza Shab Uptown, and I’m so glad we did! We arrived a little after midnight, excited to try their authentic Persian pizza.
The restaurant is cozy, with about 5-6 tables where you can sit and enjoy your meal. We ordered a large supreme pizza, and while the atmosphere was lively, we did experience a bit of a wait. It took almost 30 minutes for our pizza to arrive, and we noticed that some customers who came in after us received their orders first.
To our pleasant surprise, the staff was very accommodating. The gentleman behind the counter noticed our wait and offered us a free drink, which was a nice touch and appreciated.
Now, onto the pizza—it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were vibrant, and it was clear that the ingredients were fresh. Each bite was a delightful experience, and it was definitely worth the wait. The combination of toppings on the supreme pizza was perfect, making it a satisfying late-night treat.
Overall, despite the slight delay, our experience at Pizza Shab Uptown was enjoyable. The delicious pizza and friendly service made it a memorable stop after the concert. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty slice of authentic...
