I really enjoy the lunch time specials that are on until 3 pm. It is a very small establishment and they work very hard to ensure my satisfaction. I do not think that for 8 dollars you can find a better value or tastier meal such as K1 on the lunch menu. I wonder how they make a living with such a generous offering that includes your tea and soup. I always leave $10.00 because my expectations are fulfilled along with my stomach. I also feel that I am making a healthy decision. I will add that the eel dinner that they serve with flame still going is a real treat. I am not much of a fan of raw fish so I am really pleased that I can frequent this Sushi establishment because there are so many other options to choose from. I really wish the lady that serves me all the time well because she deserves it and I hope her hard work pays off. The Chef I believe is her husband and I am proud to support any family...

Ordered take out on uber eats and was very disappointed. We ordered the salmon lover party tray and what we got looked nothing like the photo advertised. There is a lot more sushi in their photo which is very misleading but their description does point out how much you actually get instead of what is in the photo. It gets worse with the fact that their sushi pieces are nothing like in the advertised photo— large portions of rice and small amount of actual salmon. You can see for yourself in the photo.

The worse part about everything was that their rice is dry and does not even taste like sushi rice. It just tastes like regular rice and it kept falling apart.

I’ve eaten at plenty other restaurants where for this price point they deliver way better quality and quantity sushi. The only decent thing we ordered was their takoyaki. However, the disappointment from the sushi platter really ruined the...

I’ve been in the Davisville neighbourhood for 15 years and Sushi Zone was my family’s go to sushi spot for many years. Sadly over the past year the quality of the food has dropped dramatically. The beef teriyaki was the cheapest cut of beef I’ve ever eaten. It was complete rubber. And everything overall (sushi, tempura, gyoza, miso) was totally void of flavour. We were hoping we caught them on a couple of bad days but we’ve consistently experienced this on our last 3 visits. It’s sad to see this happen to them. I’m sure they’re suffering from the increase of food prices like we all are and have had to make compromises on quality. I’m hoping they can find their way back to the standard they once had as there are nice people...

Updated with photos. You can see that the salad is so fresh, spotless, and the bento box even comes with 3 pieces of sashimi. Really appreciate their effort on food quality without overcharging. Everything fresh, tasty, and unbelievable value/price rate, especially now everything so expensive, especially at this location! $18 bento box they serve you teriyaki salmon with a full set of sides that are rear to see in a bento set in the area and high quality! Price as if from 5 years ago. Good job guys! You definitely deserve a higher rating! Saw people commenting that they changed owner. Not sure how it was before but I tried first time today, definitely beyond my expectations! Maybe they changed back? Lol

For those looking for a cheap and quick Japanese food option, Zone is a good option. The restaurant is small and is located two blocks from the Eglinton subway station. It has few tables, attentive and friendly service, and unfortunately it is not accessible for customers with disabilities (it does not have an automatic door, there is no paid space for wheelchairs and walkers, and access to the restaurant is via stairs). The menu doesn't have a huge variety of food, but it has good options and affordable prices. On my visits I ordered a portion of rice, miso and a combo and they were very good. It's worth checking out on a day when you're in the mood for something different and on a budget.
