I want to express my deep disappointment with how I was treated at the Popeyes at Midland and Eglinton in Scarborough, Ontario. My family and I have been customers for at least 30 years at this very location. Yesterday in a rush I went to grab lunch. When I was given the cup to pour my drink I, fortunately, tasted it and found that it had absolutely no sweetener. This is not the first time something like this happened; the last time it had absolutely no soda. I told Lysa (or Alysa) who served me. She checked and saw that something needed to be changed. She asked someone in the back to bring something and told me that it would take two minutes. I waited at least 4 to 5 minutes with my food in my hand. In a rush to get back to work, I asked if she could just give me a bottle of sprite to go. She said that I’d have to pay an extra dollar. I was a bit taken back considering the situation. Nevertheless I thought to myself she is only a regular staff and is just not well trained in customer service to understand that it was their responsibility to ensure that the drinks are in serving condition and to monitor that. I saw the manager standing in the back. I said excuse me I think you are the manager and I am in a bit of a rush. Can I just get a drink from the fridge since it is taking too long for me to get the drinks from the machine. She replied with a tone that I felt was quite rude and condescending. “She is a manager too and I will say exactly what she said . You will have to pay a $1 to get a drink from the fridge.” As a business owner myself I have always believed in customer service and despite all the time I wasted ordering and waiting, I said that I have changed my mind about the meal and want a refund and left the store quite upset. The way I looked at it , after 30 years I wasn’t even worth $1. Actually even as a new customer, I deserved this consideration. It is not about the $1 but the principle. I promised before I left that I would make a complaint. I always keep my word. I suggest that upper management take time to retrain staff (and floor managers) about customer service and also to make sure that staff monitors the pop machine so that customers don’t have to wait. It’s called fast food...
Read moreMade a Just eat order a few weeks ago and it was disastrous. We wanted our food delivered asap, it was a family dinner, we had a lot of hungry kids, but we received an email saying it was scheduled to be delivered at 8 p.m., an hour and 10 minutes after we had ordered. I did not receive it till 8:45 p.m.
When I contacted popeyes they said they would give me a 10$ refund, and to take the money from the driver. When I asked the driver, he said he had made the refund, I assumed the money was refunded to my visa, but I later learned that was a bold faced lie. We even had the driver return because some of the items were forgotten ( took another hour ).
After checking through my transaction history, I called my bank to confirm, they said there was no refund. I then called popeyes, and was transferred to the manager. The manager was quick to question me about why I was calling weeks later about a transaction, my answer to her: Because I trusted Popeyes, clearly I was wrong to do so.
She was quick to call me a liar saying her employees would never say they could give me a refund for a Justeat order...Way to go customer service. She also wasn't interested in listening to what happened, she wanted to relinquish responsibility as soon as possible.
It is concerning when you receive better service from the team members than you do from the manager. All in all I'm very disappointed with the service and experience I received...
Read moreI had the absolute worst experience at the Popeyes on Eglinton, and I am furious! The service was beyond appalling. The floor manager, a girl in a black shirt, completely ruined our evening with her disgusting attitude. I asked her a simple question about placing an online order, and she responded with such a moody and rude demeanor. I couldn't believe how poorly a manager, of all people, could behave!
The customer service at this location is an utter disgrace. When my wife opened the packet, the chicken and fries went flying everywhere because they were so carelessly packed. Not only was the packaging atrocious, but they didn't even bother to include all the fries! And the food itself? It was overcooked and barely edible.
I am absolutely livid. This Popeyes location has no regard for its customers. I attached a picture to this review to show just how horrible the packaging was. I had a fantastic experience at the Popeyes on Kingston, but this place? Never again! I should have gone to Jollibee, which was just around the corner.
To anyone thinking about going to this Popeyes, don’t bother. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. This place is an...
