Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Toronto

Hey to the one looking at reviews! As much as I want to give 5 stars and the hassle of writing reviews puts me off I'd just like to put my 2 cents in from today's experience. I usually never ordered from this location, though closer to me because you'll notice the chicken always has been much more dry than other locations (they would have way too much chicken pre-made and warmed too long perhaps) but I was near the mall and hence for convenience sakes I went with this location. Today I ordered a 3 pc chicken combo and I was surprised that not only was the chicken dry to the point it shrivelled up so bad it was probably around only 2-3 inches max long on average, the chicken was barely warm! Skin was super chewy with no crunch at all, no fat juices despite it being dark meat. The staff is a whole other story but my main concern is really the food here is not up to popeyes par. I never really expected much from this location but I hope other customers know if you're going to this one expect that you won't get the popeyes standard or any standard at all (While I'm at it, if you're around the area highly recommend to go to the middlefield and steeles location! Staff there is ALWAYS super friendly and chicken is always super fresh with the crunchy and juicy chicken you crave).

I wanted to order spicy chicken breast 04 pcs for my kids few days ago as my two kids wanted to eat Popays chicken bcs at that day they went to adjust their bracers . They cant eat born one. I specially said want breast only. After I taking the order double check . Then I realized two pieces are not breast . Then I complained to cashier but he never accept my complain and he said that is the way they giving. I saw there are some extra breast already made . I came from office I was so tried to argue and take the order and went. But my kids couldn't eat as they are not breast. Had to make chicken breast for them. Really frustrated. After paying had to cook again. No customer service at all. McDonald have more customer service than this place. Wanted to write same day. Couldn't as I am so busy with my office work. Management should train people them how to treat the customer and meet their requirement to satisfy customer. Frustrated. Not going to this particular store again. I would've selected no stars, but alas, that is not possible. I've experienced a few negative encounters at this location. Today, there were 2 issues:

When I ordered 12 pieces of chicken, the cashier automatically entered "All Dark Meat." This has happened in the past as well. I was not asked what type of meat I wanted. When I noticed on the order screen what she had done, I told her I wanted 1/2 white and 1/2 dark (what a customer usually receives with this order).

I arrived home and after having eaten a few pieces, I counted them and realized I was given 11 pieces instead of 12 (6 dark meat and 5 white meat).

After today's experience, I will avoid going to this location and order from other Popeye's locations.
