If you're looking for a family run, Italian version of Cheers, this is it!
A great local experience where the seats at the bar are well occupied and the patrons engage in friendly conversation with new acquaintances and friends alike. It is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The restaurant offers great Italian food; pasta, soup, veal cutlet panini, and more. The kitchen is run by a well seasoned Italian zia and her right hand, master chef Rudy. Rudy started his career in Italy at 13, and it is the only thing he knows. It shows in his cooking.
The restaurant was originally located in the St. Claire/Suffering area decades ago. Today, its newer location is tucked away in a block with lots of parking. The decor has that Italian nostalgic flavour, accented with photographs of celebrity patrons. You'll find images of Doug Ford, Rocky Marciano, and others taken amongst the staff.
I highly recommend the veal cutlet sandwich with the homemade tomato sauce. It is deliciously full of savory gusto. Then to top it off, get ready for a knock-out Tiramisu. It is the best restaurant Tiramusu I've tasted in Toronto. It usually made from scratch in the kitchen. You won't be disappointed.
Thus is a great restaurant to take your family, friends or date. Viva la dolce vita.

So...what geeves ???🤌 I ordered Pizza Margherita which is my secret "test" and if it passes the sauce and dough "That's Amore!!! Test" ... I'm in for life!! Sorry no photos and let's just say that the pizza was soooo freshly deliciously saucy and cheesy that I ate it before I even remembered to take the photo lol So if the basic puzza tasted this good, could you imagine the rest of their menu??? The chef and proud owner Rudy, shows his paasion through his cooking and is proven in the classic & traditional dishes he serves. Nevermind Nonna's...Rudy's got the balls...the MEATBALLS and spaghetti!!! Great spot for lunch or dinner, for meetings, watch a game or even a party...great staff and great food made with true...
Read moreThis establishment used to be our go to on almost every visit to town but this time they really dropped the ball. We were there early for their Friday special lasagna and they were out. Then was offered the fish as it was Friday, and they barely had one portion. Ordered a veal sandwich with extra peppers but the veal was skimpy and hardly any peppers. Their spaghetti was beautiful and very tasty although the bread could of use some garlic butter on both pieces. As far as the prices, we'll we used to go there a table of 4 with drinks and tip we'll under $100, now costs $140+++ I think we'll be trying other venues on our next trip out. Thanks for...
