At first, everything was splendid. I wanted to get Striploin for 200 people for my son's Baptism & 1st Birthday at 50lbs of meat at 4oz per piece. I was quoted $6.99 per lb of I took it as is or $7.99 per lb if I wanted it cut. 50 lbs x $7.99 = $400... When it came to having it picked up, to my absolute shock, I was told that it going to be approximately $740+/-, I was stoked by it. I was refusing to pay that so it was re-negotiated at $600 which is still $200 more to which I was no longer charged at per lb but by the piece. I was furious to which I either paid or they wouldn't lower it so the meat would stay & I wouldn't be able to provide that to my guests. Aside from my event being successful, this business has a way with scamming its customers on making it seem like they're wrong & didn't hear things right. According to my paid amount it makes my purchase at $12 per lb to which my order was for 50 lbs at $7.99 not $11.99, that's $4 more each lb... I'm never going back, these people are Portuguese at this place & so am I, but the lack of gouging customers, it's ridiculous & dishonest. Instead of swallowing their pride at the price aggreed to, because they want to pocket an extra $200, they'll never get another Penny from me, whereas if they did the rogue thing, I would of considered them to be exceptional & would return. F.U.C.K. this place & I hope they get shut down one day for poor business...
Read moreThis store is very good. It has a good variety of products. There’s produce with fresh good quality vegetables and fruits. They have a corner of pickled stuff, such as olives, lupine beans, etc. There’s grocery ailes section with rice, pasta, bread, spices variety, portuguese and brazilian products.. Even some cooking tools is sold there, specially some traditional portuguese cooking tools. Some cleaning/hygiene products (unfortunately they don’t sell products that are more millennials style like Method soap brand, or unscented detergent for people with allergies). There’s another section of butchery/meats, with great variety of meats and fast service (they sell kebabs and turkey/chicken sausages to grill on bbq), which is really cool if you don’t eat pork. Also I saw some halal items (not many). Beside this, theres a sort of BBQ Restaurant (dine-in and take-out) besides, and they sell cooked portuguese food. Typical portuguese restaurant with rotisserie and grilled chicken. Rice, Potatoes, Cosfish, etc. Bonus. They make home deliveries if you...
Read moreThis physical building used to be an Italian bakery/ cafe/ deli place, run by an Italian family. I was afraid to see a new condo development... However, to my (pleasant) surprise, I learned that it's now owned and run by a Portuguese family, which again, well known community, very experienced in these type of businesses/ services. So now it's a cozy local supermarket, offering grocery, fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, deli, hot table with a fair amount of choices, and fresh coffee. It also offers free parking facilities, with mobility access for wheelchairs. Friendly staff makes the whole shopping experience a great one. I'm so glad that these traditional places still take the challenges of modern days. Keep up the great service you guys are providing. NOTE: My four (4) stars rating, only reflect my encouragement for you to constantly seek perfection, which triggers a desire, and need, for continuous...
