We've been regular customers for many years since Shawarma Queenz opened up but sadly, last night will be our last time.

We always order their "chicken shawarma plate" (for $13 at that time) which comes with salad, rice, potatoes and of course chicken. Most of the time the food and service is good but this is definitely NOT a 5 star place. At best, Shawarma Queenz can be 4 of 5. They really lack consistency. It's a different experience every single time!

Sometimes, you a get a large whooping portion of chicken that feeds you for 2 meals but other times you get half a portion and still feel hungry after. Sometimes the potatoes are perfectly seasoned, other times they're too salty or too dry or too soggy. Sometimes, you feel, "Wow! That was the best chicken shawarma ever" but other times you feel, "What happened to the chef"?

Sometimes you get your meal fast within 5 minutes, other times you're waiting well over 20 minutes. You can call ahead to place an order to save some time but that's only if someone picks up the phone. If you are successful at reaching someone over the phone, they might mess up your order. Even one time, they closed an hour earlier and it had nothing to do with the weather either. I even tired to order online from their website and that didn't work either. In all fairness, they really have picked up the customer service side of things and resolved a lot of they're ordering issues.

Sadly, the only consistency they've showing now is a steady decline in food quality. The food just keeps on getting worse! You're not getting fresh meals anymore, you're not getting large whopping portions of chicken anymore and now you're paying $16 for all this. It's just not worth it.

Last night was definitely the last straw! Our entire meal wasn't fresh. It definitely was sitting for a long time like leftovers in a chafing dish from some food catering company. The potatoes were really dry and shrivelled up, the rice was oily and the chicken was burnt and dry. As an extra bonus, we both ended up getting Diarrhea that same night a few hours later. Whoever is preparing the food really...

Well that was a bummer. The sign went up six months ago, and then I just noticed a day ago they were open. Popped in today to pick up some shawarma wraps and was very excited to try a new and local business. Alas, it was almost over before it started. First, the gals at the front didn't know what they were doing. The pita shells they were trying to stuff the fillings in kept ripping apart. I stood at least five minutes before they noticed I was there (there were two customers ahead of me) and then when I ordered the preparation of my food took another twenty minutes (at least). There were five staff in the back, milling around not doing anything, while the two gals at the front not very competently tried to deal with the little bit of business they had. The family who came in behind me were served and out the door a full five minutes before I was. That was just due to disorganization as the woman filling my order, decided to take over the cash. It was just a terrible experience and I won't go back. The shawarma were fine, but nothing to get excited about. I just don't understand people opening up without having this kind of thing more organized. Reminded me of Minky's deli in the next plaza that took six months to get open and then lasted for four months (also a terrible first experience with rude ownership - never went back). You are a service -...

Wife and I used to love coming here often when they first opened as the flavour was amazing and portion sizes were large. On our most recent visit a few weeks ago, the portion sizes for the chicken shawarma were so small and the flavours have gone downhill.

Also, they do not follow or practice safe health measures as the workers behind the counters had their masks under their chin and the cook had no mask on in the kitchen. We also noticed how some customers walked in without a mask and some were leaning over the glass putting in their order. The employees failed to even advise or correct the customers to not lean over and talk over the glass, which is a huge issue given the times. When we mentioned this to the employee he just shrugged it off saying "We tell them and they don't listen". Management should be more stricter and actually advise that they won't serve customers that don't comply to...

I genuinely believe people who are reviewing this store either got paid or are fake reviews. I wanted to give a 0 star for their beef shawarma but that's not possible. The lady working there is rude and unhygienic (she was touching her phone and body while preparing the wrap... wearing those gloves is useless). The kitchen is hidden and seemed dirty when i got a peek through the doors. The $10 beef shawarma shouldn't be called a shawarma! The meat was super chewy and the sauce is watery. As soon I took the wrap out it was leaking through the foil wrap like crazy and made a mess. It was almost impossible to eat it like a wrap. The bread was soggy as hell due to the watery sauce and taste was really poor. I didn't try anything else there (now i wouldn't even try it for free) but making shawarma isn't their thing. I would rename the store to Shawarma Scamz

Ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the falafel wrap, total came out to be $22. The servers were very generous with the ingredients including the sauces, which is a plus. The sauces (and hummus) are all a little weak in flavor though, especially the garlic sauce which should usually pack a punch. The plate was good, chicken was not too dry and rice was the right texture. However, the falafel wrap skin was stuck to the paper which caused it to rip open and became a mess to eat. A decent meal in a pinch, but nothing outstanding.

Nice little joint in Scarborough that serves shawarma and other traditional fare. Although their serving size isn't as large as other places I've been to, they pack a fair amount of chicken and veggies into your meal. Only small issue we had was that they ran out of feta cheese, which was unfortunate. Other than that, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff member who prepared our take-out order was very friendly and helpful. Also, in case you're wondering: the shawarma fries are just fries with meat/toppings thrown on top.
