I am very disappointed in this restaurant. I am Italian 🇮🇹 I have been eating gnocchi, mostly home made, for over 40 years and am very particular about it. Yes, I have bought the pre-made, vacuum-sealed plastic packaged one from the grocery store, which I have used in a pinch, and am very familiar with its taste and texture. No flavour of potato whatsoever; I'm not talking about just a little, but it feels like I'm eating play-doh made of oil and flour. I *specifically* called the restaurant before ordering to ask if the gnocchi were home made or if they use the packaged ones. The hostess (or whoever answered the phone), assured me that they order them from a supplier. I said that I have had the commercial ones and they contain potato flakes and no potato, "are these made with real potato and not potato flakes, then?" She was emphatic (and with some snark), said, "No, they're real potato." And so I ordered them from Uber. Excited for my dinner, when it arrived, I opened the package to discover that the "gnocchi with real potato" was, in fact...that disgusting play-doh flour mix pre-packaged garbage that you can buy at No Frills for $2.50 - also note that I could make it myself for about $10, but had to pay $22 for it. GNOCCHI IS NOT REAL POTATO. I have reported it to Uber Eats and trust that the restaurant will, either step it up and get real gnocchi (or don't call yourself an Italian restaurant), or educate their staff on the ingredients so that they don't misrepresent their product. The sauce seemed like it came out of a Kraft Dinner Alfredo package or something similar, but it definitely does not have the cheeses that they report - it's mostly mozzarella. I've had better food on an airplane. What a let-down. This is NOT an Italian restaurant, but equivalent to the Italian-ness of an East Side Mario's. In the picture: Note the uniformity of each "gnocchi" which would not occur in properly-made, real gnocchi. Also, if you zoom in, you can see the yellowish, almost translucent colour (they should be solid white due to flour and potato).

A wonderful Italian Restaurant hidden in the corner of Island Rd and East Ave. (401 south and Port Union). I visit this place almost every month and bring some friends and family as I reallylve this place. Restaurant: like I mentioned, it may be a little difficult to find but with a GPS, it wouldn't be a problem. The restaurant is beside a gas station so, It might be a turn off to some. But once you get inside, it has a home-y feel. It's always clean and the washroom is well maintained and clean-scented. They have a patio that is open usually in the warmer season. The restaurant is not that big so of you're planning to book them for a party which I believe they accommodate, can probably fit up to to people. 4⭐ Food: the food is always very exquisite. I still gets surprised whenever I order something that I haven't had before. I always expect less but they really present more. I frequently come for the 3 course meal which includes a soup or salad, an appetizer that may include chicken wings, flat bread or some kind of finger foods like the photos I uploaded. And the entree which you can choose from pasta, fish, chicken or beef menu or pizza depending o their feature. The food is excellent that's why I'm giving 5⭐ Other services: they also offer some drinks which includes wine and beer. I also order some lasagna from them and they really deliver. You might want to order a week in advance as that is their policy. They also offer catering services. 5⭐ Staff: they have a very friendly staff. I visit very often and never have a problem with their service.5⭐ Price: now, as I always do, I rate price from various factors. As this is a restaurant located far from much things, I believe their food is fairly prices. 3 course are around 30$ and entrees can go from 10-25$. I can say they are fairly priced 4⭐ Final note: they also serve lunch special and I love their sandwiches. I will keep coming back to this place and will rate them 8⭐ out of 10⭐

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pasta Tutti Giorni, and it was truly an exquisite experience that transported me to the heart of Italy. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and charming decor set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The menu, a symphony of authentic Italian flavors, showcased a diverse range of dishes that celebrated the rich culinary heritage of Italy. Each plate was a work of art, meticulously prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The pasta, a highlight of the evening, was cooked to perfection and coated in rich, flavorful sauces that left my taste buds dancing. The attentive and knowledgeable staff added to the overall enjoyment of the evening, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every detail was attended to. The wine selection was impressive, offering a perfect complement to the delectable dishes. Dessert was the perfect finale to this culinary journey. The Tiramisu was a heavenly delight, and the cannoli were filled with a velvety ricotta cream that left me craving for more. In conclusion, Pasta Tutti Giorni is a gem for anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience. The combination of impeccable service, an inviting atmosphere, and outstanding cuisine make it a must-visit. I left the restaurant with a satisfied palate and a desire to return soon for another culinary adventure. Buon appetito!

I wish I could give this a 5 star review since I grew up in this area and am all for local eateries. While the food and atmosphere was great, our experience with the service on Thursday was quite disappointing.

First, we arrived at around 6:30PM, sat out in the patio and didn't get menus (or a highchair for my 2yo daughter) for at least 15 mins. That wasn't a big deal so we let that go.

I ordered the 3 course meal and my wife ordered pesto pasta with chicken. My meal was great - we started off with a basket of bread then the chicken wings, salad, and cream of zucchini soup. Lots of food for an appetizer! Then my pizza came and that was delicious too (bacon ranch pizza special).

Unfortunately during that entire time my wife's pasta never came. We found it odd that my whole 3 courses were served (and 4 pastas at another table) but not her pasta, so we asked our server where it was (this was at about 7:45). She got flustered and it was obvious that she had forgotten my wife's order. Again, not a huge issue for us - we've worked in foodservice/hospitality so we are pretty understanding when it comes to that stuff. But instead of admitting to the mistake and trying to rectify it, our server just made excuses for the kitchen being slammed (the restaurant was super empty) and kept saying it would come out shortly. We waited another 10 minutes before asking to just box up my left over pizza and to pack up my wife's pasta. While we were paying we asked the server about the pasta again (hoping she'd just admit her mistake). She just stumbled through another excuse and left saying she'd check in on the pasta. So we ended up paying for our meal, half of which didn't even come. We finally received the pasta after we had paid (so about 45 minutes after ordering) and left very disappointed.

The food that we were able to eat fresh was great. The service needs some work (but this is likely just because we had a new server). To the server, we know your service and attention was very sincere and we could tell you were really sorry. But it's okay to make mistakes because you can use that to turn a situation around even more. It's called service recovery. Had you had just taken ownership of the issue instead of passing the buck to the kitchen, we would have appreciated the honesty a lot more than the excuse making.

To ownership/management, it's obvious that more training is needed and I'm not writing this to get anyone in trouble. This could have probably been avoided if a more senior staff member or manager had checked in on us. Hopefully this review will serve as a training opportunity...
