We had a very bad experience at Sher-E-Punjab. The chicken fried rice we ordered was stale. It smelt like fish. The cashier suggested to order Manchuria which was awful. Could not eat it. The Bhel puri was literally from Haldiram’s Bhel puri pack which you can buy for $1 at most grocery stores and were charged $9.99 for a portion of Brel puri from the pack. We were not offered water until we paid the bill. Even then we had to ask for water ad wait 5 mins after paying the bill and ask again to get some water. The ambience was dull. We would never go there again.
I usually add about 15% of tip to the bill. To my surprise, the machine did not prompt for the tip when I was paying the bill. However, after the bill is paid the final receipt came out with tip added. I paid the tip without my knowledge. The cashier was unwilling to hand me the final receipt. The Chicken Tikki Masala is incredible, and the curry with it is supremely flavourful. Very VERY good taste and awesome overall. She got the chickpea curry which was great as well. Nothing we had, including alcoholic drinks, could be faulted in any way.
Total $55 after tax and tip for two meals, rice, roti, naan, a soft drink and a cocktail. Prices were super reasonable; could come down to $20 each for a nice, varied dinner if you cut...

The beef vindaloo was so spicy I couldn't even finish it and that is not normally like me.
Most Indian places I order from serve the rice order in the same size container as the curry dish, but this rice portion was much smaller than my main, and insufficient, especially considering how spicy it was.
The butter chicken was nothing special and lacked flavour.
The beef vindaloo was so spicy I couldn't really taste any of the flavours and the beef was pretty tough.
The palak paneer was delicious and had...
