Me and our party came to this establishment as we've been told this restaurant has a great selection course of asian cuisine
The food was great however I was suprised that the overall service was NOT the greatest and tip at the very end, as ALWAYS is optional, but tonight was very unnecessary and very unprofessional
I was extremely disappointed of the fact that our server (Jenny Z) made an uncomfortable scene during the time we needed to pay for our food. She spoke little to no English as my party and I were trying to order our food
Very uncomfortable when the receipt was printed after paying. Our server was standing next to us with the handheld POS device and pointing at the receipt saying "tip?, no tip? Tip?"
On the device she also was pointing to the different amounts that we should pick. And kept stating "tip, tip", we were FORCED at the end of it to pay the 10% although we do believe that it was NOT earned.
For a person with a different skin of color that enjoys asian food and culture overall, my party and i felt targeted and awkward upon paying the bill.
As an uncomfortable, horrible and rude experience, I will never return to this restaurant ever again
To the manager and higher executives reading this review, please re-train your staff to enhance better customer experience!
Please note to everyone that tips are earned, not an entitlement!!
To those planning on going i would suggest not too but if you do stand your ground and if you do not tip then keep reiterating it...

Once again, I met up with my decades-long ex-chowhounder foodie friend - HKTraveller for another overdue mini-chowmeet. This time at an obscurely located Dim Sum place.
We decided on this venue because it has garnered Google review ratings that surprisingly, bested some of GTA's most popular Dim Sum spots like Skyview Fusion, The One Fusion, Yu_Seafood, Orient Bistro....to name a few.
The minuscule size of our party limited the quantity of our selection. Together we picked the following:
Har Gow steamed prawn dumplings Fried Taro Croquettes Fried crueller wrapped in steamed rice crepe. Steamed Chicken feet in Chui-Hau sauce Char-Siu-Bao BBQ Pork Buns
Though nothing truly stands out, however, overall quality is quite acceptable by GTA standard.
Despite this lack-lustre rating, however, I will return! My decision?!.....the outcome of our friendly lady server delivering a gorgeous looking plate of ' Crispy Rice Vermicelli topped with Beef in Black bean sauce ' to our neighbouring table. The dark appealing colour of the sauce, the well caramelised beef slices, the perfectly executed green and red peppers plus their collective accompanying aroma resembled a page from some Hong Kong Dai-Pai-Dong wok-hay specialist.....a sight seldom encountered in the...
Read moreI recently visited Tak Fu, which had received quite a bit of hype from social media. However, my experience was rather underwhelming.
The har gow and shumai were okay, but nothing particularly outstanding. They were decently made, but didn't leave a lasting impression.
My husband and some other enjoyed the congee, but myself and another friend found it to be quite bland and lacking in flavor. It seemed to be in need of more seasoning. However, taste preferences can vary, so it might appeal to those who prefer milder flavors.
We also tried the steamed bun stuffed with Chinese sausage, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The Chinese sausage inside was overly sweet and fatty, giving the dish an unpleasant taste. It was definitely not what I had anticipated.
On a more positive note, the deep fried squid was a standout dish. It was perfectly crispy, with a thin layer of batter that added a delightful crunch. This was the highlight of the meal and redeemed the overall dining experience.
One thing worth mentioning is that the food came out quickly, which was a plus. Additionally, the portions were generous, ensuring that we left feeling satisfied.
The restaurant offered a satisfactory dining experience with decent food and good service but overall, it didn't quite live up...
