[Edit after the Staff replied to this review saying that: "You were being very aggressive sir and you were making certain accusations that had nothing to do with the order, the tempura was fine and even though it was, we offered u a refund and a new sauce" And "YOU POSED THREAT WITH CLENCHED FISTS AND A VERY AGGRESIVE STANCE, AND CONTINUED TO CIRCLE AROUND THE RESTAURSNT EVEN OUTSIDE WHRN YOU LEFT, WHICH WE WERE EXTREMELY SCARED You came in twice, and were extremely rude both times. "
You sir are VERY dishonest. Saying the customer is lying even though there is a photo of the problem and they are dissatisfied because of that problem. I NEVER wanted a replacement of the tempura NOR a refund, just the sauce that spilled in the box. The lady was the one that offered the replacement, on which you denied. No, I wasn't rude when I ordered my food, I was standing and waiting for my food, while the lady kept telling me to sit down. (Which I didn't want to, but I guess in your culture its considered rude to wait while standing. But you are in CANADA your Culture Standards is not the Law)
You are blowing this out of proportions saying "that I circled around the restaurant" when I was already waiting for the stop lights to cross the street. (When I turned around for brief second you had that murderous glare). Then Saying your were the one who was scared? That's the complete opposite. You had the "Cops" on the phone describing my very detail when I was talking to your associate on the way out (She even tried to stop you & talk to you a few times, but you were too heated in the moment to listen), When I was on my way out, you threatened to inflict physical violence on me, while you were talking to the phone. You then said this at your reply. "Please be respectful and do not threaten businesses whatsoever." While you were the one who was the aggressor during and after it. **Please Understand the difference in Culture. Standing while waiting for a take out order is not RUDE in Canada standards. Also Mentioning "its going to reflect on the food review/experience" is NOT a threat. You got triggered and exploded in anger. Your Associate tried her best to deescalate the misunderstanding by offering alternative solutions, (Good Costumer service) on which you rejected, then you escalated even further. If I would have just received the sauce & you never have spoken out, none of this misunderstanding would have happened.]
Extremely Rude. Horrible customer service, never coming back. So here is gist of what happened; I ordered Beef Bulgogi (20.34), and Shrimp Tempura (14.60). When I went home, I noticed the tempura sauce spilled in the box, all the shrimp was soaked with the Salty sauce and is uneatable. I went back to just get the replacement sauce for it, I showed the picture of the tempura sauce spilled all over, the lady is nice enough and offered me to make another tempura shrimp, I said "Okay, everything is gonna be reflected in the review anyway". Then the man working with her (Saying that he is the Owner of the store) got up all annoyed and said this "Don't give him a another tempura, just give him the sauce". He then mentions that he felt threatened (Probably since I mentioned in was going to be reflected on the review) and tried to call the cops on me, saying that I was upset (Which I was rightfully was since the tempura was trashed out in the end). And I have the right to write a review of my experience of the service and the food (Which would have been more positive if I would just received the sauce without all this unnecessary baggage). In the end the Lady gave me a refund (14.35) in cash (I didn't ask for a refund). The lady also said to me, that a similar thing happened months ago that was involved the same irrate man and another customer. (So he had history of doing this). The Irate man continued and called the cops on me while I was on my way out, even threatened to cause me physical violence if I did get out of the store.
I have ordered in this restaurant before (1 year ago), Back then you don't get...

Here what happened to me. I ordered on the phone ask that tofu soup has bone meat or no and she said no then ok I order tofu soup for the first time dine in, when I came in the soup has raw egg inside the pot which is I don’t like the yoke and I ask them if possible they can remove the yoke egg..
They said “ you should know you eat in the restaurant not in your home which you can do anything with your order, you order like to your mama (lady says) , (strange ), (bad approaching)
I thought you know how’s the soup is gonna be when you order the food (son), I start to test the soup and she came and says about my order that I should not act like this, I should not ask her favour to remove raw egg, you are weird to ask her that I don’t want any bone meat in my soup Start argument bla bla bla … She didn’t realized that some customer are vegetarian, vegan, allergy, and it’s not normal to ask about the option if you have it I’ll take it. But this guys really don’t understand that.
I told them I feel uncomfortable to eat now because you guys are so rude and she said if you don’t like you can leave n not pay and then I leave of course… Btw I don’t eat at all their food and they ask me to pay, weirdo
So the points this restaurant has horrible customer service, aggressive approaching, no sense of customer service at all 0%
So for you guys who wanna feel how is bad customer service is please come to this place!
I Will never ever ever ever come back again...
Read moreAfter walking by this hidden gem for the last 3 years I decided to try it out. I was greeted by a lovely woman and her husband and after looking at the menu I ordered bulgogi and pork bone soup to go. It took 5 minutes to get everything ready. The pork bone soup is made with a tasty spicy broth and comes with rice. Some korean eateries (Insadong) in the surrounding area don't make the pork bone soup in spicy broth so it's a nice treat to have this option close to home.
The bulgogi beef was tender, sweet, and savoury. The flavours of the marinade really came out. In the 8 x 6 take out container 1/3 was the bulgogi, 1/3 was japchae, and 1/3 was rice. The japchae was probably the best I have had in terms of texture. I'm not to sure if you can feel the difference between home made noodles and restaurant noodles, but this is definitely the feel good home made kind. Now some people can't tell the difference between good rice and other rice. I don't know what kind of rice they use, but it is the good/premium stuff. In general, the first taste of bulgogi, rice, etc. was awesome.
The total cost of the pork bone soup with rice, kimchi, and seaweed and the bulgogi dish was a few cents shy of $20. This would feed the craving of two people. If you feel like some quick home cooked korean food, I highly recommend this place. If I were to decide between the Korean, Japanese and Thai food in the Long Branch/New Toronto area, I would choose Tasty Korean hands down. Maybe it's because of the home...
