Got the smoked salmon bagel on poppy seed. Honestly the food was decent, bagel a little on the chewy side and the smoked salmon tasted generic. However that's not what I was disappointed with. It was the the service. First of all, I was pretty clear when I said I wanted a smoked salmon sandwich, I wanted something for lunch and I was hungry ! But literally the female smirked and said oh that's rare smoked salmon. And then when I proceeded to pay, I heard the cashiers exchange a convo which involved him double checking if I was ordering a smoked salmon sandwich in an almost mocking tone . At this point, I felt very much prejudiced against because if I wasn't wearing a hijab or was a caucasian like them this treatment would have never happened. And the waiter purposely in a mocking tone asked me what I wanted. At this point, I was very much disheartened because I just wanted lunch but ended up being mocked in a way. I mean if they're gonna joke around and stuff didn't do it in front of the customer. It's a shame cause I really wanted to try their other stuff and the food was good, but from now on...

I recently had the pleasure of working with Gino at The Great Canadian Bagel York Lanes, and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with their service and the quality of their bagels.

Our student club, the Atkinson Professional Accounting Association (APAA), hosted an event, and we were fortunate enough to have Gino provide his delicious bagels to our volunteers. From the moment I reached out to Gino, he was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to support our event. Not only did he generously offer his bagels, but he also ensured that everything was seamless and stress-free for us.

$8.46 CAD for a spinach and egg bagel is absurd. Also, the egg isn’t even freshly cooked. It’s already prepackaged in a container and simply microwaved. The tomato and lettuce aren’t that fresh either and are just thrown onto the bagel without much care. Charging extra for American cheese when its nutritional value isn’t even that healthy is also crazy. The cheese just tastes similar to that of McDonald’s. The owner stated that everything is fresh in response to someone else’s review when literally almost everything is prepackaged and I see it with my own eyes as the employees assemble the food in front of customers, so you cannot deny this. The employees also seem to be confused with the orders and rush the payment process. The atmosphere is also very dark and gloomy. The tables are also very dirty and have crumbs everywhere that I had to leave and find some place else on campus that was more clean, even though I had wanted to sit...
