The Rosemount Cafe — Restaurant in Toronto

You might be wondering why I'm giving this place a one star review. It's not the food ( although when it was the black cat it was fantastic food and it leaves alot to be desired now) , or the service or even the atmosphere in this place that's the issue. The issue with this place is that it's cashless. In a world where running a small business ( I know I run one) is difficult. Not taking cash is a big negative. Your staff suffers as people are less likely to tip more as well. Yes the argument could be made for safety purposes. However cameras and additional insurance is really all that's needed to detur theft. I use to go to this spot when it was the black cat 3 times a week as i live in the area. I was very excited to see someone that lives in the area start up a new business. I was there opening weekend. I was told they were still working out the cash issue then. I'm sitting outside the space now at there one year anniversary with the same cashless policy. I probably won't...

Rosemount Café is an absolute gem! Their coffee is top-notch, crafted with care and always hits the spot. Super cute cafe and Friendly service … been wanting to go for so long and today something told me to just walk in and I’m glad I did. I was feeling an iced matcha latte, strawberry to be exact lol. But they didn’t have it , so I got the iced matcha latte , the barista suggested to add salted caramel syrup and honestly it was so nice and smooth! She did let me know that they were going to add blueberry matcha to the menu soon so I can’t wait to try that when it’s out ! As for food options : I got the spinach and feta danish - so good ! I also got the blueberry lemon loaf - also so good , super moist and not too sweet honestly a perfect treat ! As you can see from the pics , and yes I should’ve taken a before photo lol Hoping to see more options come on their menu preferably some halal and more vegetarian items
