As someone who truly loves Canada and considers it my second home, I sometimes feel embarrassed by the behavior of certain people who think they are more entitled just because they’ve lived here longer.
Today, I stood in line for about 20 minutes at this restaurant, waiting to place my order. Unfortunately, one very entitled person was blocking the counter and refusing to move. He insisted on getting a cold water with ice in a plastic cup and kept arguing that he had received it at 12 other Tim Hortons, so this location must also do it.
The staff kindly and respectfully explained multiple times that they don’t offer plastic cups for water and could only provide water and ice in a paper cup, but he kept refusing and demanding a reason. He ignored the long line behind him and even tried to pressure the staff by asking for their names, as if trying to intimidate them.
In the end, he got his plastic cup of ice water for free, but it was clear he wasn’t happy — probably because he didn’t get his way immediately.
After that unpleasant scene, it was finally my turn. The staff served me with a smile and apologized for the wait. I was really happy with how professionally they handled the situation.

Read moreThis Tim Horton's at Midland and Steeles in Scarborough is the most dirtiest Tim Horton's I have ever seen in my life. Carpet is dirty and filthy to the MAX. It's unbelievable!!! I was there 2 weeks ago Friday night at 9pm to meet up a bunch of friends. I came from Ajax. When I tried to go to the washroom, the entrance door to the washrooms was locked for both Men's and Ladies'. My friends told me they lock up the washroom doors at 8pm every night. When I asked one of the employees working there, her response was "so nobody can messed up the washroom because we just did our washrooms clean up. The washrooms will be opened not until the next day" what kind of policy is that! It's ridiculous and it's unheard of!!! And this is called CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Immediately 11 of us left that dirty TIM HORTON'S and we promised we will never come back to this place! They lost our business and I am sure many more too!!! I meant to call the head office to report this incident but this practice has been going on for years and Tim Horton's head office is not doing anything about it or may be didn't even notice it, that means the head office is not doing a good job too!...

So I go back and tell the guy who made it I ordered maple iced cap and then the guy says oh sorry we don't have maple flavour right now. I'm not smart but that seems like something you tell the customer after they ask for an maple ice cap.. I didn't undergo the scrutinizing Tim's hiring process, but this seems like something a child would know.U sually I don't complain about a small thing like that but this is a terrible Tim's, prob the worst tbh. Manager made me some drink that was supposed to be better or more fancy then my original large non maple iced cap but it tasted terrible , there was no ice, just bad flavour. Thank goodness for ttc garbages Part 2 so this all Star m anager I mentioned alsogave me a Tim's free coffee coupon, I just checked it a few hours after this happened and the coupon expired apr 30th, but also says 2015 so it is clearly an old coupon, it does not look like New ones every week.
