Very nice atmosphere, but quite limiting. Their website is not very intuitive and booking through it can be a hassle. I thought I booked for 2 people, my wife and I, as it was our first time visiting a cat cafe — apparently I did not. I've worked as a full stack developer and front end developer for the majority of my career, and if even I can't seem to manage their booking system, good luck to anyone else.
Anyways, my wife and I went on the time that I thought we booked. It was a surprise for her. The real surprise was that apparently I had never booked it, and even when showing the manager — who was very nice, explained to me that the website sometimes has issues and it's better to call or come in. They only had one spot open, and though my wife wanted to leave because she was very disappointed, we decided to stay and gave the spot to her.
What should've been a nice memorable couple's day, turned into a pretty sub-par experience. The iced Frappuccino (If I'm not mistaken) was quite terrible, and the baklava was very strange. My wife felt like throwing up, as it was incredibly strong with an overwhelming taste of pistachio or something.
The cats were very cute and you could tell they were very well taken care of, and that the manager really loved them everytime she interacted with them. However most of them were asleep at this point, as they had been all tuckered out from the previous people that came. So that also sadly put a damper on our experience. I pretty much sat outside, watching my wife play with one cat until he fell asleep, and I drank some soda.
Eventually the cat also fell asleep, and my wife and I decided to leave. We were there for about 30 minutes or so, and didn't stay the full hour. So even though we couldn't get an hour booked together, we still ended up paying an hour for one person while only being there 30 minutes.
I'm sure the experience is usually nicer, but for us, as a first-time and having just moved to the area, it was a big disappointment.
I brought up possibly coming back to my wife, not so long ago, as our experience was about a month ago — she said, "No. No more cat cafés. I don't want a repeat of what happened." Needless to say, she's still sad by that entire day.
Anyways.
The cats are cute. The food is slightly costly, and not the greatest — definitely not their frap. The cookies are delicious, and the plates they serve on are very adorable. But based on our own experience, we'll likely never come back.
I'll leave a 4 star because we can tell that the manager truly cares of the cats and they look well taken care of, and super spoiled and loved — even though those are quite the long hours for exposures to people.
Our experience was a 1 star at best. But like I said, I imagine this wasn't the usual for them. So I'll give them the benefit...
Read moreThe café itself is charming, and the food and drinks were enjoyable. However, I left with some concerns about the well-being of the cats. It's clear that the owner and their family genuinely love and care for them—there's no doubt about that. That said, I believe the cats would greatly benefit from more frequent breaks away from constant human interaction, especially petting and being disturbed during rest and sleep. Currently, the booking slots run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with only a one-hour official break. In my opinion, that’s far too demanding—almost like a full-time job with overtime—for animals who need regular rest and quiet.
I booked a one-hour session but found that most of the cats were too exhausted to engage, and I didn’t feel right disturbing them just for my enjoyment. I spent most of the time simply watching them sleep, which was fine, but I could have done the same from outside the cat room without paying an additional $25.
The owner has mentioned in other reviews that the cats can retreat behind the room if they want a break, but from what I observed, many preferred staying with their littermates or parent cats, even if that meant sacrificing their rest. It’s important to remember that just because a cat doesn’t hiss or bite doesn’t mean they’re comfortable being touched—some breeds are simply too gentle to show discomfort clearly like the cats in the cafe. It was also quite cold in the room, which made me question whether the temperature was ideal for the cats. They seemed in need of frequent breaks with dimmer lighting, and an environment with fewer back-to-back bookings.
Another important note: I noticed a strong perfume scent on all kittens, likely from visitors wearing fragrance. Since perfumes and colognes can be harmful and toxic to cats, I strongly recommend implementing a fragrance-free policy, clearly noted during the booking process.
If you truly love and respect animals, it’s only natural to ask these questions—especially when a place has such high ratings (4.8 stars). I hope this feedback encourages the café to make adjustments that better prioritize the cats’ health...
Read moreThe café is beautiful. The staff were kind and friendly. The cappuccino was tasty.
I am a cat lover and I was happy to sit in the presence of the lovely cats. One (mama cat, persian breed) was awake and sitting close to me, the remaining 6 or 7 were adorably sleeping. I was enjoying the peaceful environment. The remaining four guests in the room were constanly petting and bothering the sleeping cats with toys despite the rules on the wall clearly stating not to. One of the staff members came in and reminded people of the rules, which I appreciated, though the guests still didn't change their behaviour.
About 40 minutes went relatively well. Then another staff member came in (older than the other two staff I saw). As soon as she walked in, the mama cat sitting next to me, ran in fear and hid in one of the cubbies. I knew something was wrong about this staff member if the cat is afraid of her from such a distance. She asked how was everything going, to all of us, everyone said it was good. She then proceeded to do the most shocking thing.
She opened a drawer, took out three empty food bowls and threw them loudly on the floor. This violently woke up all the cats and they jumped and ran from where they were sleeping. The mama cat, who has a lot of eye discharge from both eyes, was so afraid, she jumped out of the cubby where she was hiding and ran to a higher shelf.
I was so shocked by this staff member breaking their own rules of not bothering the cats and to do it in such a cruel way, was deeply unpleasant to witness. I got up and left the room at that moment.
Overall, I was very disappointed by such an experience that left a terrible aftertaste.
To the staff working here, please follow your own rules which say that the cats are not there to put on a show for us. Why are you making them put on a show? Please be...
