Rio 40º is a hidden gem that brings the vibrant flavors and lively spirit of Brazil right to your table. Here's my take on the experience:

Ambiance: The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, with subtle nods to Brazilian culture in its décor. From the samba music playing softly in the background to the vibrant colors, you feel transported to the heart of Rio.

Food: The menu is a celebration of authentic Brazilian cuisine. The picanha is perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The feijoada, Brazil's national dish, is hearty and satisfying, paired wonderfully with the traditional sides like rice, collard greens, and orange slices. If you’re a fan of appetizers, the coxinhas (crispy chicken croquettes) are a must-try!

For drinks, their caipirinhas are top-notch – refreshing and well-balanced, with a range of flavors to suit your mood.

Service: The staff is friendly and attentive, happy to explain dishes to those unfamiliar with Brazilian cuisine. Service was prompt, and they were accommodating to dietary preferences.

Value: Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Whether it’s a casual dinner or a special occasion, it feels like good value for money.

Overall: Rio 40º is an excellent choice for anyone craving authentic Brazilian flavors in a lively yet cozy setting. Highly recommended for foodies, families, and anyone curious about...

I recently went to Rio 40° for a business dinner at the request of my guests, who wanted to try a Brazilian-style steakhouse experience. We booked our table in advance, which I highly recommend to avoid any issues, and everything went smoothly.

Parking was convenient — there’s paid street parking right in front of the restaurant. I paid $8.75 for about 3 hours, and parking is free after 9 pm if you can find a spot.

The service was excellent from start to finish. Our waiter was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. He always made sure our glasses were refilled without us having to ask. The service was also very quick, which made the whole evening flow really well. For tables of six or more, they add an automatic 18% gratuity — in our case, the team definitely earned it.

As for the food, the portions were generous, sometimes more than one person could finish. The appetizers stood out — my guests actually enjoyed them even more than some of their mains. The meats and traditional dishes were delicious, the drinks and desserts were also great, and everything came out promptly.

The restaurant itself has a spacious layout, so we didn’t feel cramped or like we were sitting back-to-back with other tables, which was a big plus for a business dinner.

Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend Rio 40° to anyone looking to try authentic Brazilian...

Food is not good at all! Unfortunately I have to give 1 star for this place. Very sad to say this is one of the worst experience s I have ever had for Toronto restaurants. I’ve been living and eating out average 2 times/week and exploring what restaurants I enjoy the most since living In GTA where people claim has good food. I’m not aggravating my feelings since it’s my celebration for my birthday here. I felt really sorry to suggest and take my close friends to here as a new try for Brazilian food since I’ve never had Brazilian food before. (I heard Brazilian food should be really good/yummy to try!) I’m so shocked this restaurant has 4.5/5 for google review. Very disappointed 😔 We ordered two dishes to share between 2 people. And started to eat for couple bites we already feel tummy a bit discomfort. Not sure it’s due to the chicken cheese deep-fried is already super dry or the meat with cheese was super oily… Won’t come back again…
